I'm still hopeful that the Cowboys bring him in as a rental. If his health holds up he would be a steal and would come in on the cheap. His veteran presents and leadership could help develop these young safeties. The team seems to still have inters in him and I think he is mutually interested as well. I would have him on a pitch count so to speak mostly on obvious passing downs. What are you guys thoughts on this?

I never had an inkling to go after Berry. Still don't, unless he's willing to sign a one year vet minimum deal.

I that goes with out saying if he comes here it will be under the vet minimum. I really think he can help this team though.

There is zero chance (IMHO) that Berry will sign a veteran minimum deal. I'd be shocked and beyond pissed if some team got him for that an I find out we could have gotten him for less than $1 million per year and didn't. My guess is he signs for around $5M for the year eventually.

That is still a good deal ,maybe guarantee 2.5 plus incentives.
