Oh there are things I'm pessimistic about like politicians. I'm not praying for you but plenty of scientific evidence to the benefits to optimism as well. Overall pessimism is your outlook to Notre Dame football mine is more optimistic than yours but I doubt Notre Dame makes the playoff this year. They may not keep the kids currently committed in 2021 that is true and something I know very well they are what maybe 16 going on 17 right now so nothing is certain but it is a great start however it plays out. Also I probably should say generally your pessimism is geared toward Brian Kelly and how he runs the program.

i don't knock optimism and yes it has its benefits. i'm just saying there's a time for each. with notre dame ... i've been a fan much longer than you've been alive and i have good reason for my cautious pessimism, but why i can't post here without the inevitable complaint is beyond me.

Not really complaining just pointing out how "shocking" it is for you to find something negative from a positive. To each their own.

yes, it IS shocking i'm not all excited about an 18 year old kid 'commiting' to ND for the 2020 team. unfortunately it takes more than that to get me worked up.
you end your statement with "to each his own" but i get the feeling you don't really understand that sentiment.

You confuse me posting about something for excitement. I'm simply putting the news out there. However this thread is about recruiting so I'll post no more on the subject here, you can always create a thread about pessimism and optimism of you like.

If you keep hearing the word crying. There might be a reason. If you want to stop hearing the word, the best way would be to quit crying every time someone disagrees with one of your posts. It’s not that hard. Not everyone will agree with everything you say, but when they do, act like a grownup. Make a counter argument, or just let it die and agree to disagree. Nobody knows who you are, nobody cares who you are, don’t take these things personally. To paraphrase you, it’s embarrassing that one ND fan is so childish.
