If Mahomes is anywhere near what he was in 18 he will solidify himself as the #1 Elite QB he looks to be.
my question is. Will he become the next Dan Marino, or the next Favre.
He has some antic that make me worry he will be like Favre which DC's will pick up on & I would expect more turnovers.
Or
Will he just be a badass like Marino & keep putting up ungodly #'s.
if the latter. Lets just hope that KC is smart enough not to solely rely on Mahomes & build a defense to stop everyone from scoring 30+ on them. or Mahomes may never see a superbowl.

I think he's somewhere in between Marino and Favre. He looks like he has the potential to be his own sort of QB, the type people will be asking "who is the next Mahomes" in 10-15 years.

Also, the KC defense was butt last year and he was a DE lining up 4 inches offsides away from a SB last year, so I'm sure he'll get there.

Part of why I said if is I like to see at least year 3 with QBs. Essentially this is really year 2 for Maholmes so the defenses will most likely adjust making the game tougher on him.

While I agree with this & also expect to see mahomes in a superbowl at some time.
Dan Marino thought the very same thing & never made it back.
If KC soley relies on Mahomes like the Dolphins did with Marino & not improve the defense he may repeat Marino's Career.

Dalton has never finished that low before, and I doubt he will this year. Top 12 if healthy.

Surprised to see Luck that far down.
Oh & you have a lot more respect for Winstons abilities than I do.
if you exclude new QBs where none of us really know how well they will end up.
the 2 worst vets in my book would be Eli & Winston.

Winston is tough. He gets yards because that team has talent but he doesn't make decisions that win football games. Its the whole 'the QB makes its money in the red zone' argument and if he doesn't get it done by like week 5 or 6 then he should be pretty much done in the league. I might be overrating him.

As far as Luck is concerned, I'm not sure where to rank him. He only got sacked 2.7% of his dropbacks last year which is pretty crazy low. Its possible that its sustainable with the talent they have there but I'm not sure we're going to see that every year. He looked very pedestrian in the playoffs against KC and a lot of people were picking Indy in that game because KC's defense was suspect. #9-12 is the ballpark where I think he is right now.
