If the Bucks achieve it, they'll add 18M of cap space to work with this season... that would be scenario~1.

Scenario ~2 would be if the customers is the CAVs (for JR Smith's contract).

If dealing with the Cavs for JR Smith's contract is the case, it then means that the Bucks have been working to upgrade their starting roster further on another big trade that will follow.

It's not prediction stupid... it's all over the news... just google it.

Prediction is that the Bucks will be upgrating the roster further this season which I've said from day~1 here....

Prediction of mine also was that the Bucks will concentrate to move Snell and Ilyasova this season...

Another prediction of mine is that JR Smith's contract will prove to be very valuable this season.

They have to get rid of these contracts, but it won't be seriously upgrade their roster it will be to give current players raises: Brogdon, Middleton, possibly Lopez and Mirotic. Same core. Middleton won't be taking $20 or less like you suggested many many times.

The Bucks will have 80M to spend if they can achieve to dumb Snell's and Ilyasova's contracts... Plenty to resign all and even have some 15M for more...

If it is with the Cavs however and the Bucks will buy the rights of JR Smith's contract, it will then mean that they can attach JR Smith's contract to Mirotic or Bledsoe and land another All Star to the roster.

I guess the line for teams willing to take on bad contracts to help the Bucks just forms to the left? What kind of picks are they going to have to attach to get people to take on bad contracts?

Or are you thinking other teams are so enamored with the Bucks they will take the scraps the Bucks can't use? :L

It wasn't $20M you suggested was the max Bucks should offer, it was $22M.

Series Thread: - ECF: 1) Milwaukee Bucks vs 2) Toronto Raptors

I don't think the Bucks will offer him anywhere near that... 5/130 (so that it will be around 22M next season) is the max I can see Horst will offer... If he is smart, he will take it! If he is not, then I'm sure the Bucks will offer him a 5/190 supermax as long as he agrees on a "sign and trade" (to either the Pelicans, or OKC, or Orlando)... We'll be here this off season, won't we? So lets leave this here and continue it later during the offseason... after things do happen...

Just read the news... it's this draft night, with this pick... That is besides Snell and I lyasova NOT being bad contracts for some teams...

It's literally a terrible contract for any team. If it wasn't they wouldn't have to attach draft picks or other assets to the deal. LOL.

It doesn't matter if their new team sees it as a bad contract. It only matters if the selling team needs to move it because it is a bad contract. Sure, plenty of teams could easily take the contract on...but it's going to cost the Bucks a sweetener. No one is just going to do them a solid.

So if you want to move those contracts to make cap room, better get ready to attach some picks.

Dallas has a habit of doing these deals lately, and it's a GREAT deal for Dallas. usually we can take on a year or two of high dollars and in exchange get a draft pick. Don't see us doing it this year, we need our cap space to make a run at our third piece.
