Prolly, yeah.Dwayne Wade is a 1st ballot Hall of Famer.
So are a number of players less dynamic than Davis.

AND.....Trading for picks is never a good idea. 2/3 will be low value.
And New Orleans isn't going to ever be a winner. Nobody will stick around that shithole long enough for it to happen if they did hit on the picks.
Nice job by NO for continuing to play along though. Inconsequential franchises are necessary. Like Milwaukee, Washington and Sacramento.
That is obvious, but he is not one of the greatest players of all time, in fact far from itDwayne Wade is a 1st ballot Hall of Famer.
He might be better.
Never before in his career has he played with a teammate as dynamic as AD. No offense to DWade
It was the end of his prime imo.Wade was a bit washed up when he played with Lebron.
Las Vegas and “sin” it all... was that a typo or a play on words for Sin City?
Sure. Korver was a 15 minute a game guy who tended to feast off 2nd units.
You think that Lebron is just as effective now as he was 3 years ago?
Im guessing Ball never plays a game for them.
We’ll see.
If you're judging by season averages, he's still right on his average. His only issue last year was his drop in FT% and his first extended time lost to injury (shut down once the Lakers were out of real playoff contention).
I think he is still extremely effective as a player.
The question is how much can he carry a team now? Can he average 38 minutes a game of heavy usage still? That is highly debatable. And if the Lakers go for one more big name player and have essentially zero bench, they are going to need to rely on their big 3 to play big minutes.
He doesn't need to now. He now has a young supermax-qualified teammate (even though the Lakers can't pay him that) to share that burden.
The Lakers right now now have 5 players on their roster. 2 of them are guys I've never heard of.
If they max out their cap space on another star level player they might have a starting 5 that is elite but their bench will not even be paper thin.

It depends. Vet free agents have always signed to superstar-based teams for the minimum; it's what the Warriors have depended on to fill out their teams. This would be a bit more extreme example, more like the superfriends Heat starting out (if that's the path forward). I'm sure the Lakers will try to get that 3rd big piece, but can then transition to the 3 or 4 smaller piece path to using up that cap space. You can always trade that 3rd star for pieces if needed, but it's a lot harder to trade those role players for a 3rd star.
I think it'd be smart personally to look to some tier 2 players to round out the roster, but we'll see what they do...
Who were the notable FA guys the Warriors acquired on the cheap? Pachulia? McGee?
Right now the Lakers have zero point guards and zero centers. They could potentially get Kemba in to play point. But then you are looking at some pretty dubious prospects at the 5.
Can it work? Sure but it seems like Pelinka is going to need to absolutely nail some league minimum vets for that to happen.
Before KD:
MLE - Livingston
MLE - Speights
mini-MLE - Barbosa (he was the minimum the previous year)
minimum - Clark, Varejao, McAdoo
After KD:
MLE - Livingston
Minimum - David West, McGee, Clark, McCaw, Matt Barnes, Jordan Bell, Quinn Cook, Bogut, McKinnie, Jerebko
mini MLE - Cousins
mini MLE - Nick Young
Their whole bench minus Iggy at times was made up by either MLE, mini MLE but mainly minimum players.
