The Best Of Yosemite National Park, CA

Spent three days in Yosemite late May chasing the sun for great photos. With Tioga and Sonora passes closed, had to go up to route 4 and just opened Ebbetts pass, then south to the West gate. Weather was generally sunny in the AM then the clouds rolled in toward noon which made it difficult to get the shots I wanted. The falls were flowing vigorously. Crowds were just beginning to pick up. Tried the shuttle buses but mostly preferred my SUV, also for camping.

Nice. Been to Glacier and Yellowstone but not here...yet.

I think early/mid June would be the best time to visit Yosemite. There's a better chance of mostly sunny weather even tough there will be more visitors and traffic.
