I will say this MnB - if after 4 years, Day is 0-4 against michigan, has an overall losing record against michigan, Penn State, and Michigan State, has a losing bowl record, and hasn't even made one conference title game, there's no doubt in my mind you'll be ripping him for being a "high school coach" or some BS. No questions asked.

Hoke also wasn't one of the 5 highest-paid coaches in college football. When you're getting that kind of money with no top-5 overall finishes in the rankings, let alone only one top 10 finish - and one unranked finish - that's not great.

I think most Michigan coaches could have beaten that OSU team. It's not exactly something to look back on as an accomplishment. Yeah! We beat one of the worst OSU teams in like a half century!

We don't have a losing record against Michigan State or Penn State....OSU is the only team in conference Harbaugh has a losing record against.

I'll stop talking trash about your man-crush Harbaugh once he actually does something. His coaching resume reads like a blank piece of paper.

There have been probably 10-15 or so programs that have made at least 2 NY6 bowls(or better) since Harbaugh has been there. But there still wasn't an accomplishment to get to those games.

I doubt there's been that many to double up. And even if there were 15....that's 15 out of 130+ teams. Seems still pretty good to me.

Just off the top of my head: Bama, Clemson, OSU, OU, ND, PSU, UGA, USC, Auburn, Washington, Wisconsin, UCF, FSU, and Michigan. That'd be 14. Michigan isn't in any exclusive company or anything.

Those have all been pretty successful teams in the last 4 years, no? Good company to keep.

Some much more than the others. But Michigan is certainly on the low end of those programs. With that said they still haven't won anything of significance since he's been there.

I mean overall against those 3, who I'd considered our 3 biggest rivals in the conference. I know it's weighted because you've gone 0-4 against OSU, but you're also only 2-2 against Sparty. On top of that, though, you're also 0-1 against Notre Dame.

My point still stands - you'd be ripping the Day hire if that's how his first 4 years went.

I won't lie....I did laugh a bit at it. Franklin, who's like 3-12 against Mich, OSU and MSU, getting ranked #1 was kinda laughable (Ranked above two coaches who have a winning record against him). And as much as I joke about Day being a high school coach, putting him 1 spot above Lovie Smith is unjustifiable.
