How does turning this thread into a Nick Foles >>>> Tom Brady thread hurt my feelings?
See your last post. You seem to be upset if you think I should be ashamed.

Don't fret you're young enough you may get to see another Philly miracle in your lifetime?

Not likely but possible.

Keep your head up

Yes but you didn't see NE fans on here claiming injuries were the reason the Pats lost. That was the point.

I posted on the ESPN boards back then. I recall a ton of talk about that being why they lost.

Come on... every fan-base does the same shit. None of us are different. We all have our trolls, assholes, good guys and dip shits alike.

I agree and I should've said most of us didn't use it as an excuse. I know I didn't nor did many of those that I deal with regularly.

It's a NE mantra next man up. No excuse just do your job.

Again every team has injuries it's part of the game. Hell arguably the greatest QB of all time missed a full season and the team went 11-5. But missed the playoffs, oh well. So why use it as an excuse? No need IMHO.

I think if you look at the end of last year the obvious answer is New Orleans . Brees looked mediocre basically the entire last month plus playoffs and the Saints were a dropped pass away from losing in the divisional round . Maybe the last part of the season was an anomaly but if not and Brees goes full Peyton the Saints will be lucky to win 8 games

I think the Ravens & the Packers will have disappointing seasons.

I will give you my choices:

Rams:

Offensive line looks a mess, Cooper Kupp returning from ACL, Gurley's status in limbo, young QB exposed a bit by Belichick. Great defense, but how will that offense perform after getting shut down in the Super Bowl?

Chiefs

The offense lost momentum after Kareem Hunt got cut, and now there is the specter of losing Tyreek Hill. Defense is going to be improved, but I think the offense is not going to be as explosive as it was in Mahomes' first season as a starter.

rams, chiefs, saints, ravens, bears

Definitely can see the Chiefs going backwards. A 12 win team with a historically good QB season (which won't be repeated) is bound to slide back. Especially when a terrible defense whose only real strength last year was the pass rush, loses two key players from that unit.

I can also see the Rams, simply by the way they limped around at the end of the year. I haven't watched all their games, but I still don't really have a grasp on how good Goff truly is. The offense runs through Gurley, and his knee is still a question mark.

While everyone is picking the Chiefs to go backwards, I'd go back and watch some of those Chargers games from last year. They won a lot of really tight games last year IIRC including getting three wins on 2pt conversions and beating the Ravens in the playoffs with a special formation that simply dared their QB to throw the ball to wide open guys.

Other losses the Rams still haven't resigned Suh that leaves a hole even though he wasn't the Suh of old. Heck I don't think he stepped on one opposing player last year.

KC will be ok but I see them about a 10-6 team.

Philly will also take a step back. We saw it start last season. Without some late season heroics they wouldn't have made the

playoffs. Wentz isn't ready to play yet. No Foles, Bennett, Long... coach talks like he has a mouthful of matbles.

Agreed, Suh might not be the force he once was, but he is still a mass that doesn’t get pushed around, Rams front will miss him for sure ... Philly losing Foles was a critical mistake by that franchise, Foles had chemistry with them, they played better with him, I still don’t get that move... Also the tape is out on Mahomes, sophomore year is gonna day a lot about him...

I guess what I haven't conveyed well enough is Suh can eat up blocks, he can still tackle but he doesn't collapse a pocket nor get into the backfield like he used to. Having said that I think TB paying him $10M is crazy. Unless there are a lot of incentives in it.

There are plenty of big bodies who can clog up the middle for a lot less. Danny Shelton signed for $1M incentive based with NE. Is Suh 10x better than Shelton? I don't think so.

saints, brees was very pedestrian down the stretch and playoffs, if he plays like that, or the drop off continues, they will fall back
