Magic reasoning for quitting is actually understandable.

Basically sounds like he went into the job being told one thing then that changed.

Maybe I'm just blindly believing Magic, but him saying the he told Jeannie from the beginning he wouldn't give up his outside ventures and be busy with other stuff at times seems completely plausible. Then you have a guy like Rob who then goes on to say that Magic's not doing his job seems plausible too when you think about him trying to maneuver for the President job.

He must really hate Pelinka though to put him on blast on national tv. But I'm here for it.

Yes and no. Apparently, when he was hired as PBO, he told Jeanie that he has a lot of other things going on and wouldn't be in the office everyday. But, he also said that he was making fixing the Lakers his top priority.

The problem is, you can't get away with being part time as a PBO. Especially when you're trying to fix a team.

Pelinka definitely shouldn't have been talking without going directly to Magic first (don't know if he did or not, but it doesn't sound like he did).

But Magic shouldn't have taken the job in the first place if he couldn't put in the time necessary and he shouldn't be talking now when he knows it will hurt the Lakers chances at getting a top FA.

Well it is all on Rob. If he fails at Free-Agency, he has to go immediately.

Yeah, I blasted Magic when he abruptly quit. Given the details that he's spilling, he wasn't up for the office politics and I don't blame him. Pelinka always struck me as a douche bag.
