I’ve seen social distortion a couple times, not with the current line up though. Never seen Flogging Molly.

They're great. I like the other two acts too. Would loove to see Terry Gender Bender, live. She is punk af, and can belt out a tune like not many other can.

You'll hafta let me know how they are live.

We don't get many shows around these parts, so this one would generally be a no-brainer for me, except the cunt is on a Tuesday nite, and it's a two-hour drive home still.

@TheDayMan

Being the RHCP fan that you are, you might check out Le Butcherettes 2015 album, A Raw Youth. It has guest appearances from John Frusciante and Iggy Pop.

Right on, I’ll check out Le Butcherettes for sure, looked her up and saw she has a project with Omar Rodriguez Lopez too. Checking off a lot of shit that points to awesome.

and I think most their shit is produced by Omar Rodriguez Lopez of the Mars Volta, and I think he was even in the early version of the band.

Ipecac records rule. Great label.

We're getting a few shows up here that I'm planning to see.

Incubus, Dropkick Murphys and Ghost are all coming to town.

The kinds of acts we usually get are rappers, which is rich in a 98% white city. Or teener bopper/broad shit, like Justin Bieber, Taylor Swift, Pink, Celine Dion.

Or just a hundred pounds of country garbage.

Saw Broken Social Scene last night in NYC. Really good show, but getting out of the city was a nightmare. I got to Penn Station at 11:30 and it took over 2 hours for NJ Transit to tell us the trains were down because of "overhead wire problems". I had to take the PATH back to Jersey City and transfer to Newark-Penn Station... and then transfer from there to Secaucus and drive an hour home. Ugh. Normally I'd get home from Secaucus around 1-2, but I didn't get back until 6.

Saw Neil Young is playing at the Paramount here. Then I saw the cheapest option is $420...

Wow. We saw him last summer at a 4000+ seat venue. I don't recall what we paid but it was a fraction of that. He's great but I wouldn't pay half that if Crazy Horse was with him, much less solo.

I saw Neil Young and Crazy Horse about 20 years ago when he still gave a good performance.

Cheap Trick gives a great live performance. I've seen them three times and every show was great.

You gonna see them in 2019? Gonna go to the show in buttfuck Texas, or buttfuck Wisconsin?

Alright...Stoned and Dusted was fucking epic. Start to finish...excellent.

Melvins played the heaviest show I've ever seen them play. Buzz was straight fucking possessed. It was perfect.

If y'all have never seen Brandt Bjork live, you are missing out. Great show. Fu was great too. Bonus for me, was that REZN broke down and couldn't make it, so King Buffalo replaced them, and tho I like REZN, I like KB a little more, so that was cool. Met and got pics with them and Big Pig, who is fronted by Dino Lalli, who is the son of Mario Lalli, (Fatso Jetson and Yawning Man) who is one of the originators of the desert rock scene and the generator parties.

Awesome setting for a show. All bands brought their fucking A games, for sure.
