that and boy wonder needs to figure out that shit fast. Oh and Goff needs to learn how to not be lousy when play action isn't working or when he doesn't have Cupp. So i expect him to make the jump otherwise it's no need to pay a QB like him 100 million when he's playing like a barely avg qb.

What the article failed to accentuate was, even though McVay spent an exaggerated amount of time viewing the Pats season in an attempt to cram a plan to together in time for the actual game, McVay failed to study the right things like Belicheat tendencies as well as his propensity to discover the weaknesses of the Rams O and D and exploit both. He failed to get his staff in gear to find the type of defense he was looking at and what adjustments needed to be made to beat it in the second half.

Granted, McVay got out-coached in the whole game because he had no answer at halftime with usual adjustments that would work consistently and neither did any of his staff. Anyone with half a brain could see the Patriots were running a base 46 defense with variations and that the only adjustment to make is to go Jumbo on offense. They could have got this info on any google search.

If I were McVay, I would have got on the horn to coaches upstairs ASAP and get someone to quickly research the defense the Patriots were running and come up with adjustments which could have been implemented at the half. This was not done and this was the critical piece that cost us the game.

Granted, armchair coaches like me have the benefits of hindsight, but I would have been on the horn ASAP getting one of my staff to do the research and then I would have got everyone on the same page at halftime.

I am not sure McVay still knows anything about the 46 defense and how to beat it but I bet he is going to find out this year because now every team in the league has access to that snooperbowl tape and they will use and adapt their defenses to stop us when we play them this year.

Better get on board quickly there McVay or else it may be a long year to come.

Sometimes it just comes down to McVay overthinking, I'm not worried about McVay, he us a smart guy whose biggest weakness is inexperience in certain situations. Thanks to him we finally have real expectations and hope

Honestly think, outside of one drive by the Pats late, it was a boring duo of two top notch coaches and teams.

Considering a couple of untimely drops by a sure handed WR, the game could have turned in our favor.

Seriously, Goff had 2 less completions than the HOF Brady, considering those two timely drops, I guess neither Goff nor McVay were that terrible.

The game IMO, was won and lost first on our inability to run the ball, and second in our inability cover Edleman.

To me, neither the McVay coaching, nor Goff's performance were ever large culprits in our loss.

NFL Power Rankings: Post-free-agency status reports for all 32 teams

2. Los Angeles Rams

2018 record: 13-3

Three-words-or-less description: Final destination. For a third consecutive season, the Rams have attracted playmakers in the twilight of their careers. Safety Eric Weddle and linebacker Clay Matthews signed with the Rams for three reasons: Sean McVay's coaching ability, the city of Los Angeles, but perhaps more than anything, a solid chance to go out as Super Bowl champions. -- Lindsey Thiry

Suh found a home for another year. Signs a one-year deal with Tampa Bay.

However, I keep hearing that there is no amount agreed to yet so the contract isn't quite finalized... Not saying he will be back, screw him at this point, but I think it's a joke that Mr.(I want to win a championship) goes to the Bucs to replace McCoy who was making(I think 12 mil this year)... So what price could it possibly be to join a losing team? Has to be less than 10 mil, you'd think. If they pay 10 or more, why not just keep McCoy?

So basically, Suh took a 10 million dollar one year deal.... Truth? I think we just might be better off without him!!! We have quite a bit of depth at DL and to pay 10 mil for a guy like Suh would've been a bit much right now(not that we could afford anyway, but still)

He was good in the post season though, someone's going to need to step up to pair with Donald!

I still think we should sign Danny Shelton. Smart has been penciled-in as the starter but I bet Gaines makes in-roads into that status at NT by mid-season.
