Should the NHL be pushing more kids like McKinnon as the new face of the NHL as opposed to players like McDavid or Guedreau who are no where to be seen come playoff time? Who does their marketing?

Boston already lost two home games against Toronto in this series. I dont think they will be looking past them at all. I hope its a brutal game it how playoff hockey should be.

Im sure we will be seeing a lot more of McKinnon going forward. He is the best player on the ice 99% of the time he is on the ice.

I freakin hope, pray, beg that one of our prospects turns out that freakin awesome. I really truly hope that last season was just an anomally for some of these kids and this season turns out to be our time! #3yearplanisup#!

We have a draft pick that is just as awesome and they were both selected 2nd overall and its our very own JVR:

JVR 441 points
Mckinnon 402 points

Does it matter that Mckinnon is only 23?

Flames, Preds, Pens, Lightning, Jets.. all out. Can't imagine anyone had that after the first round. Wow.

i dont think anybody in the world had that and if someone did it was just a lucky guess.

Boston and Caps could be next. Crazy!

That's why i wish we could've made it this year as it is anyone's cup this year.

The good thing about hockey IMO is that it's up for grabs every year. Next year will be ours, I can feel it.

Yep, gotta say walk. I like Elliot, and when he was healthy he typically played well. Unfortunately he just wasn't healthy enough. Can't repeat last summer's mistake and have an injury prone back up goalie.

How about Hartman?

I agree with their verdict. He's not going to break the bank and he's what I would like to see in 4th liners. Guys that can skate and throw the body a bit on the forecheck, but also have enough hockey ability to contribute some points. He can play higher in the lineup if there's a particular group that clicks or if someone goes down, I'd keep him. I like him more than what I've seen from Aube-Kubel or Vorobyev at this point.

I'm hoping O'Brien can have a similar year to what Farabee had this season at Boston, next year. I didn't know anything about him before the draft, but the more I read about him the more I liked and he impressed at the Summer Showcase. So hopefully it was just an unlucky injury year and he can really start contributing at Providence next season.

If he's looking over his shoulder at Elliott, it's just to make sure Elliott can get back up again after pulling his skirt muscle!
