Sure looking like Gallos upside is now a tad higher than Mazara.
Bat cleanup, today. Wonder how the lineup goes next game.

I hope he continues at cleanup against RHP

We could have 3 black holes in the lineup soon.

Guzman, Odor, and Mazara.

Those 3 really haven’t done much this year. Even prior to the injuries.

Players improve. Hopefully Gallos is real permanent progress and others follow suit

Guzman was doing fine before he got hurt. Worry less about how things are gonna look in a month and more about enjoying things as they are right now. Nobody is under any delusion that this is going last the year.

Probably best if they move him to set up role for a few appearances.
I went thru the thread to see if anyone stated this and I was at a friend's house and saw the end of this game. He definitely needs to be taken out of the closer role for now and let Kelley (only because he is a veteran) close. I do not want to hear he is tipping pitches because if you can't throw a strike it does not matter. He has stunk from ST until now with very few confident outings. He should get his act together or I hope he does because as we have seen it can disappear. And kudos to Woodward for taking him not just today but also last week and let someone else finish the game.

Agree. Not sure why he keeps throwing Guzman to the curb. He had many good ABs with nothing to show for it, has power, and plays good defense. He will get it figured out.

It's like they knew that FB was coming

Astros are a good FB hitting team especially in FB situations, that's when you have to pitch backwards to them to throw them off. If you're tipping your pitches that's also a no-no to just about any team.
