The NL Central is going to be brutal. I think they will beat each other up and all teams end up around the .500 range.

I agree with you and I think your prediction of the Cardinals finishing slightly above .500 is going to be pretty darn close. Even the Cubs, after their slow start, are getting closer and closer to .500 so yes, the NL Central is going to be brutal.

The scrubs benefitted by playing the worst team in baseball...the Fish. The Scrubs better hope Bryant isn't finished, Jizzo/Warbler/Almora start hitting.

I should clarify that by saying "around the .500 range", that would include 5-8 games over .500.
I think the Cards will finish with more wins than losses.

I agree with you, the Cubs have had a soft schedule so far, but with that said, we always seem to struggle with the Cubs whether it's at home or away. Let's hope that changes this year.

I understood what you were saying and if the Cardinals do happen to finish 5-8 games over .500 that might be just enough to win the NL Central. As we both know, it's a very long season so a lot can happen with streaks, suspensions, injuries, etc.

Glad the Brewers are getting the 7 games with the Dodgers out of the way. 3 series with the Cards and 7 games with the Dodgers, 3 with the Cubs is a tough way to start the season. Battling that schedule to a draw is a victory in my opinion.

What is Shildt gonna do when Bader gets healthy. Will he be a Mo puppet and keep playing Fowler, who I admit is playing a bit better, or put the red hot Martinez in right field?

But I am tired of hearing Dan McGlaughlin say, "that man can flat out it", every time JMart gets a hit.

Good question! I'm surprised that Fowler is playing better too and as far as JMart is concerned, I don't see how his hot bat can be taken out of the lineup right now.

Kang got thrown out at home by 15 feet. It looked like he had a leg issue rounding 3rd or a parachute opened up and he slowed way down.
