We would all like for this team to make meaningful moves in the upcoming draft, but knowing this organization and their historical compulsive tendencies suggest that they are going to be very active in some manner or the other. It is also possible that they've found that patience pays off as seen in the last couple of drafts when very good players fell to them at their designated spots. I'm interested in what you all see them actually doing or not doing with the 15th pick in this draft?

they will stay at 15 unless we use a 2nd or 3rd rounder on rosen . then we could trade down to make up for the pick

There's some talk that in an even swap, Arizona gets Keenum and Rosen comes here. Anybody believe this to be a good idea?

will stand pat and let a top 10 player fall to us just like previous 2 drafts. This way they can't screw up the pick. Burns or Ferrell is my guess. (Gruden pounding the table for WR)

I'm still not accustomed to this organization not "winning" the off-season. They have done a pretty good job of staying away from the sort of impulsive things that garnered that reputation of late, however, I believe that Dan Snyder has probably reached his patience limit and they become major players in this draft.

J. Gruden has been reported as stating that this team must win now. Couple that with the poor in-house showings at the end of last season and to me it hints at a desperate need to do something to excite the masses.

Look for the movers and shakers in Ashburn to be involved in some sort of massive trade, possibly involving multiple teams and departing with a player or players on the current roster. So, in terms of moving up vs moving down, I believe that they do both and likely to do business with N.E. the NY Jets/Giants and Oakland early, followed by several moves down in later rounds to amass more picks.

Can I change my vote Sty? After seeing the Haskins interview on NFLN this am, it was fairly clear the meeting Haskins had in DC was compelling. Haskins told Snyder to come get him and those were his words on TV today. His roots are there, Shawn Springs is his mentor, also mentioning he played for Skins and felt he would be a good fit for WASH. I smell something brewing here as you have suggested above. (T. Williams & #15 to swap spots to #4)

We will stand pat and hope that Kiper and the clueless other after pick 3 usually hold true to form again and a QB projected in the top ten falls to us.

Of course you can change your vote, in fact until the 16th selection clock begins there will be time to change it over and over if you wish to. I can't really say how it's going to play out, but my Spidey senses are telling me that there's going to be a lot of activity involving this team.

BTW: I would hate to trade T. Williams in that manner. Perhaps, offering them something/ someone
(future/Reed??) else then trading TW for another selection.

Ok, fair enough, keep TW a Redskin for life and trade Reed.

At best the only teams trading for Reed would be ones that are in position to compete for a SB in the next few years & that does not describe just about any team that has one of the top picks in the draft. Who in the hell would plan on having this guy still around past the next few years?

Nope not that either, TW has current value and not so much in future terms. If this team is of the mindset that rebuilding is a must, then getting future value in exchange for Williams now must be the way to go. Trade them both but I just don't see TW as part of a move up exchange. His value to me is such that we get real value in a stand alone exchange.

I see your point however, teams do get desperate believing they are close. Heck, the Skins management thinks they are close, do they not?

A lot of chatter today about Rosen, Peterson etc. Peterson asked for a trade last season. Now he is calling out the "snakes in the long grass" and likely thinks his future resides elsewhere. Well, let me propose a trade that will make all parties happy since KC stepped out on a ledge today in order to get better by obtaining Frank Clark.

Cardinals get: Skins 2019 1st, 3rd & 5th rounder in 2020 and conditional 2021 pick.
Washington get: Peterson, Rosen

IMO, Peterson is worth a 1st, Rosen a 3rd and additional compensation well worth the players. Take an edge rusher in the 2nd round, OL in 3rd and fill out remaining picks with WR, TE, S, OL.

Cap hit of $11M in 2019, $12M in 2020. UFA in 2021. (Year 4 of 5) We would have to restructure some current players to make it work but all doable.

Agreed dad however, to procure the best corner in football, you make it happen. I think we could target Norman, TW and possibly Richardson to make it work. Probably a mute point now because it will not happen but the thought of adding a player of PP's caliber to our defense would be exciting.
