Giannis has no jump shot. AD can drain threes and is probably even better defensively. You’re a prisoner of the moment.
The moment happening today when Giannis is as good or better than AD? Yes I am a prisoner of that moment

It’s close, AD basically has better numbers across the board though. So if you’re going on team performance, sure.

I didn’t even notice the turnovers. Wow. I didn’t realize Giannis was that high.

So what? It makes getting a triple double easier.

Wake me up when Anthony Davis is leading his team to the top of his conference by "draining 3's". Giannis is better at what he does best, than Anthony Davis is at what he does best

What does that happen to be?

The Western conference is also much more of a dogfight than the East. In Davis’ defense, Alvin Gentry is never going to lead a team through a deep playoff run. Speaking from experience.

How are you guys still putting LeBron at #1?

Sorry, but hell no.

His numbers are great. What he did in last year's playoffs was spectacular.

But that was last year. This is now.

Before the injury maybe. After the injury he was playing over weight and his impact just wasn't the same. And we can't just assume he is going to come back next year in his age 35 season and be back to 2018 LeBron. His defensive impact was Harden like this season. His true shooting percentage was his second lowest since 2008. His win shares per 48 was the lowest since his rookie season and NOT in the top 25 in the NBA.

I am as big a LeBron supporter as anyone on here. But if we are being truly objective, there is a better case to be made for LBJ outside the top 5 than at #1 right now.

I am shocked so many lists just assume he is still #1. By any objective measure using this past season, stats, eye test, what ever you want or use, he was not #1.

My list is as follows:

1) Giannis- transformed the Bucks
2) Harden- don't like 1 way players in general, but he has taken it to a whole new level. And his defense isn't as horrific as it used to be
3) Steph Curry- Stats say KD, heart says Steph. Think intangibles are on Curry's side
4) Durant- still great. Could be number 1 next year with a Change of scenery. He just isn't as impactful as Steph on that team.
5) Anthony Davis- case for #1 on stats alone. But you have to win the games to get to the top.
