Unless Goodell told them too. During the 2017 season in the first 5 or 6 games the opposing team had no holding calls, called against them. I would call that unusual.
VERY unusual...but not cheating. You think one of those refs wouldn't have stated that the Commissioner of the NFL told them to cheat against a team and cause them to lose a game? That would literally be the biggest scandal in sports history. I can't see any way that it's even partially true.

That being said, if I remember correctly, it was more than 6 games that an accepted holding penalty was called against Dallas.

It was eleven games, and there was a single DB holding (on the defense) call that was declined since the play netted more yards than the penalty would have.

It was egregious, though, how no offensive holdings were called even when opposing o-linemen were riding some of players' backs into the ground, hooking DEs after they made it around, and TEs grabbing and pulling some of our guys to the ground.

Yes, in every game there are missed calls. That's as far as I'm willing to give the officials the benefit of the doubt. Eleven games is an astronomical number of games to have no offensive holdings called. The previous record was like five, if memory serves me, over the entire history of the NFL. And, this new record was made while Jerry happened to be in a bitter dispute with Goodell.

That's too much for it to be just coincidence, IMO, and I'm generally not one to complain about officiating since it almost always benefits and negatively both teams equally.

What angers me is all of the blatant and obvious holds that were going on against our D line during that 11 game span. Yet given all that our OL was getting flagged continuously for lesser ticky tack infractions. I think I remember DLAW commenting about the holding and said fvck the refs in an interview. You wont convince me there was nothing shady going on.

Go watch the game against Tampa last season and you will see the refs keeping them in the game, when it should have been a blowout victory for the cowboys .

I showed pics where DLine was held around the neck right in front of ref. Nothing.

Great post....it wasn't cheating but it sure as hell was a vendetta against the cowboy brand....shit goes against Dallas way more than for Dallas. Fuck Rodger!!

Exactly! And quite honestly, if we ever do get to another Super Bowl and win it, it would be that much sweeter if it was done under his NFL leadership.

Cowboys have a chance against any of the best teams on the schedule including the Patriots. We are going to have a pass rush and that is huge. DLAW and quinn can flat out get after the qb. I am saying 10-6 at worst. The things holding this team back is the predictable vanilla offense, the lack of two good safties as we only got one,and the lack of a huge NT.

Godell can seriously go fall in front of a bus and I would not lose any sleep over it.

Fall I bet you could get 100 volunteers by only asking 250 random Cowboys fans to push the asshole on camera knowing they would spend time in Jail and over 25 would go through with it.
Goodell would be a good Land Mine detection engineer too bad he would only be blown up once

With apologies to the brave men and women who do that job

Screw Herr Goodell
