Here's my first try....tried to still hit needs while keeping value first. Should've looked DE earlier, as I never matched up well with anyone intriguing later. No trades in this one. Surprised by the grades, since I'm a bit behind on my scouting reports lol.

Big fan of the first two mocks

Getting Greg Little in the 2nd round is an absolute steal and would be massive for us

Running back is a position that doesn't worry me too much, there's so many good values late in the draft. Both Miles Sanders and David Montgomery are backs I'm a fan of. Bryce Love is talented but way too injury prone, bad fit considering how many injuries we end up with as it is

A little tangential but if 2 or even 3 QBs get taken in the first 8 choices (there would have to be trades for that to happen), an absolute stud defensive player will be available at 9. At that point, whoever it is would be a steal.

Now let's say all the top defenders are gone, then the 9th pick may not be of value. It still might be to another team, so I'd welcome a trade down.

A TE like Hockenson would certainly be of value to a young QB and an offense that wants to run the ball.

Just finished drafting for the Bills in a 7 round mock (they're still finishing up, but the Bills are done):

1.9: T.J. Hockenson, TE, Iowa
2.40: Josh Jacobs, RB, Alabama
3.74: Gerald Willis III, DT, Miami
4.112: Vosean Joseph, LB, Florida
4.131: Jalen Hurd, WR, Baylor
5.147: Maxx Crosby, DE, E. Michigan
5.158: Saivion Smith, CB, Alabama
6.181: Darius Slayton, WR, Auburn
7.225: Ben Burr-Kirven, LB, Washington
7.228: Nate Herbig, G, Stanford

(Notes cribbed from NFL.com profiles, especially on the later picks)

1st round: Murray, Bosa, Quinnen, Haskins, White, Allen, Oliver, and Taylor went 1-8, so Hock was an easy pick IMO, unless you are willing to take a risk with Sweat.

2nd round: I was shocked that Jacobs was still on the board at 2.40, but probably should have gone with either OG Lindstrom or OT Little at that pick, but couldn't resist the best RB in the draft with McCoy/Gore on the verge of aging out (this was before the Bills signed Yeldon).

3rd round: The DTs were thinning out quickly, so I jumped on the last of the guys I thought could jump in and contribute on day 1 if needed.

4th round: Bills are thin behind their starting LBs and Milano is coming off an injury. Joseph had a predraft visit with the Bills and is a heat-seeking missile that badly needs coaching up. If corralled, he could be a first-round talent type. With the second fourth rounder, I was sniped multiple times just prior to the pick (missing on OG Deiter, CB Boyd, and WR Preston Williams - who I was really focused on), so went with the next height/speed WR available in Hurd, a starting RB that converted to WR as he grew to 6'5. That is really the one gap in the Bills WR corps right now; a big WR.

5th round: Maxx Crosby is a strong rusher and run defender that needs to bulk up a bit for the NFL, could be a nice developmental pick. Saivion Smith was the top CB recruit in his class to LSU, then transferred out, first to Miss Gulf CC to avoid sitting out, then to Alabama. Still very raw and has been through multiple coaches, needs further refinement and steady coaching to reap the benefit of his raw talent.

6th round: Darius Slayton is a speedster WR (4.39 40) with quickness that can be more than just a deep threat, but was somewhat hidden on a bad Auburn offense last year.

7th round: Ben Burr-Kirven led the country with 176 tackles last year. Undersized with decent speed (4.56 40) but very instinctive and plays above his athleticism, should be a stalwart on special teams even if he never elevates above a depth LB. Nate Herbig (nicknamed The Big Island) was a big reason for the holes Bryce Love ran through in 2017 and was voted 1st team all conference. He suffered through some injuries this past year, which also limited Love's production as a result. Very mobile G with good power, but needs some refinement and to be kept in proper shape to really fully utilize that power.

I still don't believe that anyone will be available at #9 that will have a #9 value. Now there could be a surprise, especially if teams trade down for QBs, but I'd prefer a move back to the mid-teens where who they get would be of similar value to what they will get at 9 and then they get an extra round 2.

All sorts of rumors right now, I've seen them saying that we could move up or down

I don't really know who I want us to get

just as long as we avoid reaching

Optimal situation would be if the Bengals trade up with us to grab a QB and we take Hockenson or an OT with that pick

as long as we take an offensive lineman in the first 3 rounds, Ill be happy.

Receiver I think will ultimately be our 2nd round pick, I think some of the best ones in this draft will drop there

Sounding like a move up to the Jets for Quinnen is a real possibility.....

I think Ed Oliver might be my top choice, Wilkens is another really good trade down candidate though, I don't know why he dropped to the 12-17 range

Josh Allen squared would be nice too.

I'd prefer staying at 9 myself. Good value. Lots of mid picks to package up for a 2nd

I'm fine staying there too, having two Josh Allen's is always good! lol
