Since they joined the SEC they haven't done better than what 3rd in the West and 4th in the conference as a whole?

That was with a Heisman winning QB.
You are not wrong, but Sumlin was an awful coach. Jimbo is a pretty damn good coach. Better recruiting classes and better talent means better results.

...and a couple of NFL linemen that Sumlin inherited.

Actually, from what I have heard the wording in Jimbo’s contract allows him to leave whenever he wants... and he went to A&M for Woodward. Even if this is true the likelihood of this happening is probably 0.000000000001% chance. But I’ll take whoever Woodward hires, because he is a guy with a proven track record unlike Joe freaking Alleva.

If he gave Jimbo a 10 million a year contract without a buyout, is he really a good AD? And if he leaves Texas A&M bent over, ain't that the kind of whore you don't fuck with?

Although I can't imagine LSU coming anywhere near his salary and taking him away. But I mean, I've seen LSU fans talk of this scenario and I think it kind of misses the point that he is no longer a good AD if that happens.

A lot big name coaches don't have buyouts but you aren't getting Fisher as long as whoever A&M gets as a new AD can s till make Jimbo happy and stay out of his way of coaching the football team he's probably not gonna leave even if Woodward is in Baton Rogue. Heck I wouldn't be surprised if Jimbo has a say in who A&M should get.

I don’t know, infiltrating an enemy and sabotaging them for the next decade sounds like great leadership qualities.

Jimbo will do two more years and then LSU will make a change and he will jump ship before you guys get sick of him and will get a new fresh 10 year deal. By the end of it he will have made 7 million over at least 15 years guaranteed. That will give him life earnings of over 130mm.

It's just the way it is.

Few are going to be able to have the success Saban has had and keep it rolling for as long. No one ever has. The new LSU AD has more pressing issues in that he most likely is going to have to find a new basketball coach so that is going to be year one project. By the end of the second year he will send O packing and it will be too easy to grab Jimbo and the pressure at A&M will be substantial by that point. At LSU Jimbo will just have to find a way to beat Bama and that will satisfy the base for a year or two and to do that he just has to get a QB. That is Jimbo's specialty he is a QB whisperer.

I believe QB whisperer is code for “was able to find one quarterback to be good and I will coast on that for the rest of my career”.

When Francois was healthy he had him playing at a high level very young. His track record with QBs is pretty impressive.
