well thats out of the way but thats gonna hurt.

"Wilson: 4 new years, $140M. $65M to sign. Total guarantee: $107M. A no-trade clause. ... Now, Wilson is under contract for 5 years and $157M. And staying in Seattle"

Now need to get Clark done, then Wags next year, And many more. ouch

Yes going to hurt, but it was going to hurt regardless. Not getting him signed would of been depressing.

Yes it would have, For once the Hawks have a QB that people have said a few time "Could be the Best in the NFL" We have had a few called top 10 and 2 called top 5 but never one of the best. I am Happy Wilson got his deal i just hate these 4 year contracts though. Also now the Hawks are strapped and will need to get real creative as far as more contracts go. I have no doubts they can be.

Before RW signed the Seahawks had the second most cap space next year. About 95 mil minus 35 now, so 60 mil left. Not exactly strapped, but still won’t be resigning everyone with these prices.

yeah but thats because Clark doesn't have his deal. Right now the 2020 free agent list looks like this.

Frank Clark
Bobby Wagner
Barkevious Mingo
Jaron Brown
George Fant
Mychal Kendricks
Mike Iupati
Quinton Jefferson
Cassius Marsh
Jarran Reed
Akeem King
Neiko Thorpe
C.J. Prosise
Nick Vannett
Jamie Meder
Nate Orchard
Germain Ifedi

Some of those guys will need to be paid and not cheaply or they will be gone. This is only a list of UFA not the RFA. Hawks have a 5th year option i do believe on Ifedi but i just don't know if they pull the trigger on that. He needs to play better. LOTS better.

Yes but these are the kind of problems good teams have.

Well and Bad teams, We saw it first hand with the rams a little time ago. Not saying the Hawks are bad just saying it's not only tied to "good teams" when you have no salary cap space. Thankfully the Hawks have a wizard doing the books and contracts, if any teams FO can make this work it's this teams FO. When they were able to Sign and Keep Bennett, Kam, Avril, Wags, KJ, Thomas and Sherman with Big contracts it really showed the talent level they have working the cap.

Good for you guys..........but if Dak think he is close to that we (Cowboys) gots a problem.

Just glad it’s done. No more horseshit articles like the ones claiming RW wants traded to one of the worse team in the league (Giants). The click whores just love these situations.
Good luck with Dak.

Yes bad teams can have cap problems, but for the most part it’s a good team type problem.

Good luck with Dak.

Went through it with D Law and it can turn you for or against a guy instantly just by reading some of the bullshit.

Good luck next season. RW is one of my favorites in the game right now.

I never thought for a moment that the Seahawks were going to let Wilson walk or trade him. It would have been gross negligence to do that.

Barring a catastrophic injury, this will likely look like a bargain within 2 years.

Yeah definitely don't agree with that.

Yeah definitely don't agree with that.

New CBA after next season and there will be a whole host of young QBs getting their first big contracts.

Unless you think that his play is going to fade over the next 4 years, which SHOULD be his prime seasons, there is no doubt that the Seahawks will be happy with this contract. It probably won't be the last big contract he signs with Seattle.

Cowboys should offer Dak something soon before Goff and Wentz break the bank
