No, I was not in the military, but learned to respect those who are. My dad's father had his leg blown off in the Philippines, and my mother's father lost his foot from frostbite at the Battle of the Bulge. My dad got out of the military a few months before his unit was sent to Vietnam, and he pretty much forbade me from joining. Don't project your feelings or beliefs on others. Some people just want to serve, and it's disgusting that you degrade them. Nothing you've said about people who join the military is true. You just have an agenda, and it frankly sickens me.
