He's just 29.....he may "retire" for a few seasons and come back and play a few more seasons before retiring for good.

Gronk can make a strong case to be the best TE of all time. In terms of a mix of blocking and pass catching, I am hard pressed to even come up with a comparison. Kudos to Gronk for a sure-fire first-ballot HOF career. Now maybe he can learn how to spell four-syllable words!

LUL... perfect timing for the Pats since this is a decently heavy TE class. Brady will play until he's 80 (seriously the guys cheat meal is a fucking quinoa salad) and they'll just replace Gronk with another TE who will dominate.

Basically we need Bill to die... or retire *hands up* I mean that's fine too... *ahem* or d- *GOD: :stephena:* "RETIRE, retire, I changed it to retire."

GRONK was so much better at blocking than all the guys with better pass catching numbers

Gonzalez was just a glorified giant Wide Receiver who blocked like Deion Sanders tackled.

GRONK truly excelled at both primary roles.

TEs wish they got paid like WRs. Receiving is what puts the position on the map.

Gronks a HOF guy. Who played with a HOF coach, a HOF QB on the dominant NFL team of his era. Comparing him to the other top TEs just isn't even remotely fair.

He's one goofy bastard but he played his ass off despite being riddled with injuries. Much respect for him and retires on top of the football world. Good for him.

Well if I had bet I would've lost $.

Prior to the SB I had a feeling he could retire but wasn't sure and didn't want to see it.

After the SB with his comments and being in the facility every day I thought for sure he was staying one more year.

I like many of you got to see one of the most dominant TEs play for almost a decade minus his IR time.

Good luck Rob you'll always have a place in NE fans hearts and a lot of other NFL fans.

He’s 29, played 9 seasons with the Pats, he’s had a great career and a longer career than most ... No doubt the guy still has it, but he’s thinking long term health...
