Here is my point no one not even you guys who for some reason back his decision have any faith in him. He was given an opportunity to show himself possibly improve his value around the league yet it makes sense to hide behind brees for another year? Do you see anyone giving him 30 M of course not that's insane because he sat last year how on earth would that change next year by sitting again? He will be an unknown and another year older great plan of action for his career. I honestly feel bad for him he's getting bad advice. Sure the situation in Miami isn't perfect everyone knows this but at the same time if he proves himself he has a great chance of improving his stock. Sitting does 0...
Makes sense not to be the scapegoat and ruin his career signing for the Dolphins. Dolphins are going to draft ( or maybe trade ) for their franchise QB,
who ever signs is a place holder who's going to get crushed on that team then dropped like a hot potato. It's not a opportunity, it's a disaster, a career killer.
What I've read Bridgewater really likes the Saints organization.

I don't fail to understand anything. You are calling a guy a coward and trying to determine his life and have never even spoken to him.

Do you know what NO has told him? Miami? Did Miami make him an offer and how much was it?
I don't care if it was Bridgewater or Peter Pan I don't need to speak to him to see someone miss an opportunity. I'm hearing that Miami offered more and he may have went for a few million more but he turtled and went back to his easy backup job. It's a bad look I'm sorry... I'm not even saying that he's great or anything but he could have proved himself and his stock moving forward.

Bridewater has battled injuries.....he's not going to a team with a questionable (this is being nice) OL where he wouldn't get protection or playmakers to help the offense.....that was 26th in scoring.

If he went there and they struggled (not because he sucks, but because he doesn't have weapons) his career would be over and not due to his own abilities.

I do have faith in him, I think he can be a good player in the right situation with some weapons.....like the Saints when Brees retires.
Do you not think everyone knows this? NFL gms are that stupid to not understand this? At least he can show himself instead of hiding under a rock. Who knows maybe he blows the doors off setting himself up for something major. Behind brees no chance or very limited opportunity.

Brees isn't playing forever and Miami is a much worse situation.

Quit being butt-hurt he didn't pick your team.

yet best you can do is tell another guy what he should do.
I live my life in this manner I'm quite successful. I suggest you do the same don't ever pass up opportunities you may never see them again... just a word of advice take it or leave it. Don't ever be scared in your abilities... Bridgewater seems to be it's sad...

Good point.

They are probably taking a QB in the draft and Bridgewater would have been a lame duck with that OL and lack of skill players.

Staying in NO is the better situation. Everybody on this seems to get it, except the butt-hurt Dolphins fan.

It's not even about my team they'll find someone else I feel bad for Bridgewater and whomever is advising him....

Bridgewater on staying: Saints 'made football fun'

"I think for me, you ultimately play this game to compete and to start. But at the same time, I'm still 26 years old. And the way I look at it is that I'll have another opportunity to start in this league at some point," said Bridgewater

There it is from Bridgewater himself. He believes he will have the chance to start somewhere ( somewhere better then Miami) down the road. The article talks about how great it feels to be on the Saints for Bridgewater.

And you know for sure 100% that Bridgewater couldn't have turned his career around in Miami. Possibly winning the job like that hasn't happened before in the history of football. Miami may have changed their plan if he impressed but we'll never know now...

He's taking a pretty big risk assuming that he'll have tons of opportunities after sitting for two years... I guess we'll see wish him luck with that attitude.

It would be like winning the Mega Million, not likely. What is likely is he would take a beating, look bad and have a difficult time continuing his career.

Can you imagine how much he's learning from Brees?

I bet he is and that's why he is staying put, learning from one of the best ever. And he could be his successor.

At worse he's a millionaire and has his health, at best he's the Saints starting QB next year. Lots of in between can happen. He sounds happy.

Tate will be the Giants #1 receiver so yeah, they brought him in to replace Beckham.....even if he isn't on his level.

Suitable but what I meant is you cant replace a player like Beckham. Tate isnt close to Beckham over $9M/year isnt a bad deal imo though. He’s 31 so we will see if it works out
