Not following.I disagree - In fact I go to a black church and they have never done a BHM until this year and I was the one that started it this year - sometimes it helps motivate children by teaching them in a way that is fun and educational and helping them to learn what they can do for themselves. I do understand you point of view though - that was the way I felt about them letting students into Universities because they were black back in the 1970's.
Russ flippin out isn’t anything new. Dude can’t keep his cool
When you make that much money, you can't let those things get to you...
I do agree that the teaching should be around the year and I have been weighing my options about how to accomplish that in the church. I want to get the kids involved more so that as they grow up, they will value the process of education. Neither of my parents went to high school or college, but they had six kids. One passed at 28 years old and the remaining five us all went to college and most of us have a masters, and all of us have good jobs and our own home. To me what happened in that arena was due to the lack of education on both sides. The racist dude was bad, but Westbrook could of and should have handled it better. There is no doubt that most of us understands how and why he did that, but it wasn't the best way eitherNot following.
I'm not against teaching culturally specific history. I'm against pigeon holing it to one month. The shortest month. Definitely not against encouraging kids to know their family history. Or being proud of who they are and where they came from. Everyone's collective story is important.
Affirmative Action is racist. Separate but Equal was racist. People are people, the color of their skin shouldn't be a factor in where they can get an education. Or where the can live, who they can marry, who their friends are, etc.
I'm not sure what racist posts on social media has to do with the behavior at the game for which he got banned. I don't see how one has a bearing on the other.
That's my motto.don't talk shit, crock shit.
In short, they were proud of Westbrook, but had to pretend that what he did was wrong and I am good with that25k is a slap on the wrist
Because, the Utah fan was so innocent?
I was hating Russ' side until I heard about the fans' social media page.
Not exactly a shocker that you would be on the wrong side of this one, since you are on the wrong side of pretty much everything.
"We reserve the right to refuse service to anyone."
I don't see any problem at all with a business doing what is best for business and refusing service to an unwanted customer.
always liked Ron Artest.Really? Even knowing that this was Utah? Their fans are notorious for being garbage and outright racists. When I saw the dust up, I knew immediately it was gonna be some Utah fan saying some shit.
NBA did what it needed to do here on both sides, but in my own personal world, it'd be fine if an athlete beat a fan's ass over something like that. You wouldn't dare say racist, homophobic, vile insults some fans say to players if they saw them or anyone else on the street. Why? Because you'd get your ass beat. Buying a ticket shouldn't save you from an ass beating. If its just some heckling over some bad play, no, I wouldn't allow that. But a few choice words or phrases (and we all know what they are) get spoken, let those fists fly.
