I don't know that he deserves one. He was leading into that hit with his shoulder. Patrick jumped out of the way but left his leg behind. Johnson's legs were both right square underneath him. Hard to pin that on him, especially to the extent of supplemental discipline. A penalty, sure, but I don't think that warrants even a phone call.

Jack Johnson has played a great game tonight, probably because all his flaws are hidden when the conditions prohibit fast skating and any sort of stick-handling.

Kessel is about to break out. He's not getting anything to go yet, but he's been flying the last couple games and turning loose more shots than he hasn't. A bit more engaged defensively, too.

I think Murray's going to get a lot of blame for the winner, but while he deserves it for the tying tally, Giroux is a goal scorer who beat Schultz to a good area and got a good shot off. Murray got a big piece of it, but not enough, but that's not a bad goal.

3. that game winning goal. double woof. Brock Boeser thinks they were both just lucky
