As a stand alone series, it's okay.

But, Season 1 set the bar so fricking high, there's just nowhere to go but down.

yah....i thought it was interesting how the lsat episode had the small tie in to Season 1.....

i just have no clue how they resolve it in 1 more episode

there is only 1 more right?

i mean- if there was one complaint about season 1 it ws the fact that the resolution was more small scale than large scale

i thought they were setting this up to have some large scale resolution and bust some big time people......but instead its kind of moved really slow.

do you know what i mean?

What is the purpose of the skeevy film crew?

She's trying to lead this old, slightly dirty, but well intentioned, cop towards some epiphany.

He clearly has dementia.

So, besides the murder, what are they trying to uncover?

I think it's pretty clear how the Hoyt family ties in and I don't think they are pae-dophiles.

I mean you saw the pink room at the end of episode 5 and heard how she called her self the princess in pink or whatever.....obviously there is something really fucked up with the hoyts- i do think they kept the girl there for years and years as basically a sex slave.

i just dont know how they resolve it in 1 episode.

and you are right- the guy has dementia- he is clearly lying to the tv people.

i think it has been good- and i like the relationship between the 2 cops, but its moved so slow and now there to episode 8 and i just dont know how they resolve it in a little over an hour with any kind of fulfilling resolution.

I mean- maybe he dies and their is just no resolution. I dont know.

Id give it a B i suppose.

Season 1 was a solid A if not A+.

anyone that has not seen True Detective Season 1- i gotta say- watch it ASAP.

Crazy to think it was so low looking at where the team is now. But even with them well above the expectations, missing the playoffs will feel like a disappointment.

Even if they get better next season, the West is so tough that making it will be a fight like it's been this season. It's nice to be hoping the Kings make the playoffs in the middle of February instead of having hope preseason then looking towards the draft by January 1st.
