All someone needs to do is mention the Patriots doing something and there's a flash storm or an investigation. I heard this yesterday but thought that the guy who told me was making it up and nothing was on the Radio or the TV. This will probably light it up.

Rosen for the pats #1 around 26-32? do it, do it and don't give them two seconds to think it over.

Interesting thought, and Murray is certainly intriguing and talented, but he's not going #1 in this draft. And even if they were taking Murray, the Cards aren't dumping Rosen after 1 year and taking a $10MM dead money hit for just a late first. Especially with the same GM that drafted Rosen still in place. Rosen played a lot better than his stats showed...the Cards offense was a dumpster fire.

And Murray is what 5'3" I don't get it man. Plus Giants need a QB IMO they could work a deal if they wanted for Rosen.

I have no interest in Murray. He should sign a big baseball contract. It would be funny to see him get picked up by Denver

Bleacher Report is Getting Bored

New England Patriots Acquire Blake Bortles

The Blake Bortles experiment hasn't worked out in Jacksonville, but the Patriots have a knack for taking other teams' failures and turning them into success stories in Foxborough. So if the Pats sent a middle-round pick to Jacksonville in order to secure Bortles as a backup, would it really be shocking if he eventually excelled as Tom Brady's successor?

Potential trade: Patriots acquire Bortles from Jaguars in exchange for a fifth-round draft pick

Bleacher Reports Are Having a Fun Day.....Happy Valentines Day

Dallas Cowboys Unload Sean Lee, Acquire Devin McCourty

Now that Leighton Vander Esch and Jaylon Smith have emerged, there isn't much room left for Sean Lee with the Dallas Cowboys. But Lee is the type of defender Bill Belichick would love to get his hands on as a late-career role player.

It just so happens the Cowboys could use a safety, and the Patriots' third-highest-paid player is a top-notch safety entering the expensive final year of his contract. The Pats don't have a lot of money to spend this offseason, but they could free up $13.4 million by trading former Pro Bowl safety Devin McCourty.

Potential trade: Cowboys acquire McCourty from Patriots in exchange for Lee and a sixth-round draft pick

Apparently someone at Bleacher Report got Valentine's Day and April Fool's Day confused. And doesn't understand how the salary cap works.

Don't go ballistic on me.........................Just heardthisand haven't been able to confirm anything......

Patriots attempted to trade for OBJ before the trade deadline and nothing happened. He's going to cost about $18M per and that's way too rich for BB's blood. Sooooo Plan B.......has been set in motion on another WR who has a hefty contract, but with a few moves might fit right in. Again, I haven't been able to confirm this....but it's rumporedthat the patriots have contacted the Atlanta Falcons about Julio Jones and the Falcons listened. There is absolutely nothing else, other than the Falcons gave him a big contract and supposedly would like to move on from it. I don't know any of the particulars of the contract and haven't done anything.

Has anyone heard anything at all about this.........there was just some talk about the patriotslooking for a wide receiver on Early Edition..........I don't know if it's because of Beckham or Jones or something else.

We're a month away from the season starting and two months from the draft........nothing like starting a fire less than 3 weeks after winning a Super Bowl.

I'll take Julio.

If he wants to renegotiate to a Brady style contract.
Edelman, Jones and Gordon would be an impressive core.

Love Julio but not willing to mortgage the farm for him at this part of his career. If he decided to come over on the cheap then go for it.
Absolutely not for OBJ. Team chemistry means a lot. I'm sure he'd adjust part of that attitude but for me the juice isn't worth the squeeze. Lots of other mid level talent out there go find one and draft a kid hoping for the best.

I've been up for two hours and have to go to Boston today. I won't be back until late afternoon or early evening. I'm going to spend as much time as I can digging around trying to get more info. I really hate getting snippets and wondering what the hell is really going on.

Have a good day......hopefully I'll be back tonight with more than a rumor.

Why would Julio leave the Falcons?

'Cause he wants a ring.
And a paycheck from what I understand. I can't see him or the Pats making this move, is he even available? Or are we talking some type of odd trade?

I just don't get the mentality of chasing a ring. It's such a team oriented sport that the lack of a ring is more of a reflection of the team than any one player. Going to a team and winning a ring means you went to a team that won a ring. I get the feeling the one's contributions were part of it, but playing well on a loser while making beaucoup bucks is a pretty good thing.

That's why I said only for a team oriented renegotiation of his contract.
Which I was commenting on someone else's comment regarding Jones or...OBJ? I dunno, I forget now.

Because they know they will have a better chance of reaching the HOF if they can solidify crazy numbers with a ring.
It is a team sport, but if you are on a very very good team but have not won the championship, another team could bring that satisfaction.

Ohh I would damn sure rather have Julio over OBJ and heck yeah if a cap friendly deal could be done great.

Can you imagine Jules, Julio and if the let Gordon back. All we need is to draft a TE and with out run game and O Line this team get's real scary, real fast.
