What do our first 4 picks look like guys? Assuming we get a pick for Foles (2nd/3rd) we should be in pretty good shape to add some talent

We will only get a 2nd or 3rd, if we can do a sign and trade. Otherwise, we hope to get a 3rd or 4th next year as a comp pick.
Again, the draft depends upon what Howie does in free agency, so it is difficult to project who and what we do next month. My feeling of positions are: DT; DE; OT; WR; RB, in no particular order - just the BPA.

I guess a better question is, who do you want with our 1st 4 picks? I’d like to see 2 defensive and 2 offensive players. I hope to land a stud DT next to Cox and a versatile piece in the secondary like Adderley or Gardner-Johnson.

On offense we really lack a dynamic running back and our o line needs an infusion of young talent. Free agency should tell us what the Eagles draft intentions are.

I will have a projection of who I want, and who I think might be available in the first 3 picks, soon. I'm sure that Rey will have his as well.

So much depends on what moves we make this off season ... for example, I would love to add Christian Wilkins at DT to play next to Fletcher Cox, but they won't do that if they re-work and keep Tim Jernigan. DE is a possibility as well, but at 25 it's hard to tell at this point what players will be available.

Right now, if we don't sign any top free agents, I think one of these three DL prospects wold be the likely pick in the first round: DT Wilkins, or Lawrence; or EDGE Sweat. Now, Dillard; Ford; or another highly rated prospect could drop a little bit, this is how I see it right now. Again, free agency and the combine will have a lot to say about where we should go.

Here is what I would love to see, assuming we could trade Foles for a third:

1) S Nassir Aderley, Delaware
2) DE Charles Omenihu, Texas
2) WR Hakeem Butler, Iowa State
3) RB David Montgomery, Iowa State

Yes, that's two Iowa State guys.

I like Omenihu's game a lot. Well coached, polished, versatile, played in pro-style defense... could come in and contribute right off the hop. Todd Orlando has done an amazing job with his defensive guys at Texas the past couple of seasons, his prospects are not that highly ranked but they are productive.

No DT? We need another young stud beside Cox next season. That's probably our top need, and this draft is loaded. we should draft 2 of them.

Omenihu can play DT as well as DE. He is a bigger d lineman who has versatility.

But, we can't fill all holes in the top picks. This also doesn't address OL, which I consider a big need.

I was just trying to provide my idea for some top picks in the first three rounds. Keep in mind that we have two 4th rounders, a 5th rounder and three 6th rounders, when you project expected compensatory selections.

So, we should be able to add some DT and OL prospects in the mid to late rounds too. DT is a deep position in this draft.

He's the kind of guy who the Pats will take late first and surprise everyone with, then he will pan out and be worth it.

I like these players quite a bit especially Adderley and Omenihu. Would be sweet

DE Jachai Polite Florida
*** Let's get the negative out of the way first ... can be a liability vs the run when run right at. At 6'2 245 lbs he isn't going to manhandle OT's and shed them out of the way like a 3 tech to make a tackle. HOWEVER if you want a player who projects possibly to be a pass rushing terror ... this is your guy. Polite has the best get off of any Edge guy I've watched tape on this year. Phenomenal timing, burst and bend around the edge combined with counter moves like a great spin. His motor is also non stop ... he will run 50 yards if he needs to in order to make a tackle. Early in his career he is likely to be just a pass rush specialist, but if this kid can get up to around 255-260 and hold up better against the run ... then watch out! He is a player I would absolutely consider as an option at 25.

Depends on how he tests, but I can see him being as fast-riser through the process and going higher than some think.

So the Eagles received an extra 4th and 6th round pick in compensatory selections. This is actually a little less than some had forecast; experts thought they would likely get a fourth and TWO 6th rounders.

Still, it means the Eagles have eight total selections: A first rounder, two second rounders, two fourth rounders, a fifth rounder and two sixth rounders.

Not bad. If only we hadn't traded a third for Golden Tate. That was a bad move.

Yes, it turned out to be a flop. At the time, we celebrated the move. I think Tate needed a training camp and a full season to show his worth. He is just not the speedster we needed. In retrospect, Dallas' trade for Amari Cooper was the much better move. I hate to give up a first round pick, but Cooper is worth it. We have to deal with him for the next 8-10 years!

The Mock Draft Machine by Draft Network is a cool new program to run your own mock. It is considered a little more realistic than some of the other programs like this, like Fanspeak On The Clock. Seems similar to me, actually.

One bad thing about Mock Draft Machine is that, so far, it seems they have not added supplemental picks. The Eagles should have an extra 4th and 6th you don't see in their mock machine.
