Question to the board now that he's gone and being plugged into a 3-4...what do you think is the best position(s) for Seymour in a 4-3? I know he's versatile and can pretty much play anywhere but what is/was his best fit in 4-3?

Would have to say DT. He had two more pro bowls at that spot. Would have been interesting to see how he could've done in his prime (3 straight first team all pro) at that position in a 4 3

He was a hall of fame finalist I'm interested to see if he makes it

Yeah pretty much what I was thinking and why I didn't grab him as I have the Manster there already. Wasnt in love with the idea of Seymour at LDT or RDE in my 4-3

Yea I would be a little leery of him in a 4 3 as the DE (and I say this with my placement of Lilly lol) but I'm sure he would've been solid in a 4 3 with the Pats early in his career.

There's another guy still on the board I strongly considered at end but didn't have 3 4 experience but did have size for it.

I guess you never know how players take to it until it actually happens.

I've considered Lilly for a 3-4 DE before I didn't really see that as a stretch at all. I think Randy White and Merlin Olsen would also be good fits there

Hmmm...looking back I guess I'm misremembering Seymour as strictly in a 3 4 his first years.

Looking at pro football reference they have another guy and him on the interior together a few years before switching to the 3 4

(Edited for name dropping players not taken)

I took him thinking I would strongly lean that way and as Greene and Suggs were there it just kind of made sense to go in that direction. With Lilly being 6 5 I figure it's not a stretch for him to add a little bulk in today's age.

First congratulations to your son. Amazing job young man.

Second why is every male in the photo on their phone while not a single female is?

They're from another school - so no clue.
