I really wish DT well - I don't see him back on the Broncos for next contract - if there is one.

So hear are the rumors I have been told. The Broncos are making this move to Flacco for two big reasons. The first is that Flacco is a much better fit with the type of offense that Scangarello wants to run. Keenum struggled with throwing down the field consistently and Scangarello has made it very clear both privately and publicly that he wants a vertical attacking QB. The second is that Flacco is a much closer match to the type of QB that Drew Lock is. The Broncos would not have to design two different offenses to make it work compared to if they had kept Keenum.

Next is that the Broncos are most likely going to let Paradis test the market. They offered him a pretty sizable deal about two weeks ago but Paradis and his agent haven't contacted the Broncos back so sounds like they are pulling the offer now.

There have been about 8 teams that have contacted the Broncos about Keenum. Teams that make the most sense right now are Redskins (could be without Alex Smith), Cardinals (Kingsbury was his HC in college), and the Giants (could be moving on from Manning and his old OC is the HC).

Elway did tell Drew Lock at the Senior Bowl that he will not make it out of the top-10 in the draft. Not sure if the Broncos will have to trade up or not to get him but the Broncos sound very keyed in on him being the man.

This makes some sense, but I am worried that Elway is too focused on Lock, and not the BPA.

If they view Lock as the future of the franchise then he is the BPA in my opinion. It would take a lot for a team not to draft a guy that they think can lead the organization for 10+ years at the most important position.

Joe will do really well away from retarded Harbs....The thin air and his big arm is gonna be a perfect match....Go get AB now and with that D and a decent oline, could be SB 54 in the making...I'm just sayin'
I think the fans will love Joe, he's all class and all team.....Good move John..

Not to nit pick but Kliffy was NOT his HC in college. Case went to Houston when, for most of his 6 years, Kliff was quality control coach. I dont believe Kliff was the OC in Houston until 2011, Cases last year there. But the point is still valid, they have history. But I thought that Kliff threw his support behind Rosen.

I believe Denver would be wise to trade Booker this year. We can draft another RB, but the way he played end of the season his value will never be higher and he is in the last year of his contract. There is little to no chance he unseats Lindsay or Freeman and I am sure he walks at the end of the season.

I'm not sure how I feel about all this love for Lock. I can't remember any team recently that has been this keyed in on a particular player. Especially, a team that is not picking 1st. If we really are this in love with the kid, we have done a terrible job of hiding the fact. If we are trying to throw smoke screens, then I think we have done a terrible job at that because it is almost unbelievable that Elway likes the kid this much.

Either way, I feel like we had a great opportunity to grab a better QB in last year's draft. Most of the reports that I have seen have all 4 of last year's top guys ahead of anybody in this class. And next year, the QBs are supposed to be much better than this year's crop as well. Seems odd that we would have traded back last year with 2 guys on the board. I get that Chubb looks to be pretty special and all, but if you have a chance at a franchise-type QB and you don't have one, you have to pull the trigger on one. Unless, Elway just likes Lock that much better than Rosen or Allen and Hebert and Fromm and Tua and those guys.

That was my main issue with Keenum
He would not go downfield
Play action is all about going downfield.

Normally I would agree but remember how well known it was that we were tacking Brock Osweiler in the 2nd or how much we liked Bolles?

At this point I don’t doubt that we are tipping our hand. I am really starting to worry that this years draft is going to not follow what we did last year and go back what we saw prior.

Interesting. I had heard that Elway said that Lock was a top ten QB in the draft. This makes more sense, as in 'we will draft you with our first pick if no one else does.'
