makes sense to me.
Flacco will have a running game & a good defense.
His job is not to hurt the team. He doesnt turnover the ball much.
Better than the scenario the Broncos are in right now.

Better or just more experienced? There's definitely a difference. His job is not to hurt the team, but he will end up doing so has he is like milk. Hasn't aged very well. Broncos didn't improve at all by getting an aging QB who's best years are clearly behind him.

I'm not a big fan of Joe Flacco but he's probably a slight upgrade over Case Keenum. Depending on what this trade deal looks like, it signals to me that the Broncos QOTF is in next year's draft. Frees them up to take best player available (not a QB) at pick #10 in the 2019 draft and then go get their QB next year. I'm not upset with this news (pending details) but it's pretty meh in general. Another mediocre year in 2019 coming up.

Flacco is trash dude. Doesn't solve their QB problem at all. Would be interested to see what the Ravens got in return though.
Yeah I know, and it also means Baltimore is stuck with Lamar Jackson even once teams figure out how 1-dimensional he is. Two teams I dislike are screwed for at least the next couple years.

Since Manning approached Elway's legacy/popularity, he's gone out to get Mark Sanchez, Case Keenum, Brock Osweiler and now Joe Flacco. Elway learned his lesson on not letting someone get as popular as him.

Apparently, the Ravens are getting a mid-round pick. Thinking a 3rd or 4th. Hard to see who the winner is in this scenario lol. It's not the Broncos because they traded a pick for a past-is-better-than-the-future QB and the Ravens get an extra draft pick but are stuck with a potential Dak Prescott situation where teams recognize and figure Lamar out and the Ravens are stuck in mediocrity for years to come.

In closing...great trade for the Steelers, Browns, Bengals, Chiefs, Chargers and Raiders.

I could see this as a simple "get me somebody that won't fuck things up too bad until we can develop a draft pick". I figured Flacco in Miami under similar conditions actually. Not that it matters much. Elway has shown that he has no eye for QB talent or maybe just doesn't ever want another QB in there to take away from his legacy at the position. What a waste of a championship defense.

Well, we're gonna be the worst team in the league next year.

Bring in a horroble QB that is over the hill. Fantastic.

If we gave up abything more than a 7th round pick, we lost this trade big time. Flacco is barely worth a 7th rounder. Flacco isn't any better than Siemian, who was a 7th round pick.

Elway doesn't know QBs.

ESPN's Adam Schefter reports the Ravens have "agreed in principle" to trade Joe Flacco to the Broncos.
The deal cannot be announced until the new league year opens March 13, but it sounds like Mile High will be Flacco's new home for the immediate future. GM John Elway has been feeling the heat in recent years to find a quarterback, whiffing on Paxton Lynch as a first-rounder and then watching Case Keenum flop as a free-agent pickup last year. Flacco just turned 34 in January and is by no means an upper-echelon starter, but he's good enough in the middle of the pack at the position where a team can win with him. This means Keenum will almost surely be released after one season with the Broncos and likely takes Denver out of the market for a first-round quarterback in April's draft.

I'd bet a good amount it's one of those 2 4th round picks.

Fun fact: at 6'6", Joe Flacco had the highest rate of batted passes in the NFL last season.
