I definitely like the last suggestion of signing Matthews. That would be a def upgrade at Edge. The other four are going to happen in all likelihood. Fowler will sign, so will CJ Anderson. Joyner is going bye-bye and maybe Shields. Robey-Coleman has solidified himself in that corner spot especially seiing how he played Brady's first pass and tipped the ball to Littleton for the INT.

Since we only have 4-5 picks this year, the likelihood of trading down is growing daily. We want a second and a third and/or combos of those two rounds.

If we sign Mathhews and Fowler, we can move Brockers back inside if SuH leaves. Imagine a front DL of: Matthews, Brockers, Donald, and Fowler. Ouch.

The real problem, Rambunctious was that McVay did not make the adjustment(s) in his offense to deal with Belicheat's variation of the Bears 46 defense because he didn't get people like Higbee and Everett involved when the opportunity presented itself.

Kupp would have been better for the short underneath routes, but McVay kept trying to go deep and when Gurley started to get going in the second half, he took him out. The majority of the blame for the loss falls at the feet of McVay. He didn't adjust or prepare properly for Belicheat . He got confused, out-coached, and we got beat similar to what happened in Chicago.

Yeah I know Retro. Hopefully McVay learns from it. Belecheat is tough to beat. The secret of beating the Rams was to stop the run and he did it, the Bears did it, and the Saints did it. The Rams need to fix that.

And speaking about the run, will we have a #2 back controversy?
Brown is a bad ass when he is in the game. Basically a young CJ. It will be interesting to see what happens there.

You beat the 46 defense and its variations by the Washington Redskins under Joe Gibbs' old jumbo offense where they would line-up on O with an extra lineman and/or a second TE. It forces the defense to now cover additional people while they are being overloaded with additional bodies. In High School its called the Diamond formation.

Free agency favorites for each NFC West team
If you don't want to read about the other teams, here's what it says about the Rams:
Los Angeles Rams

Giants S Landon Collins
Ravens EDGE Za'Darius Smith
Vikings DT Sheldon Richardson

Despite their rapid ascent to the top of the NFC, the Rams are still in pretty good shape from a salary cap standpoint with just under $30 million in projected space and the ability to clear out some additional room if they want. Given that space, the draw of playing in Los Angeles and their current status within the NFL, that should help them get in on some big names to fill voids this offseason. Their defense was great in Super Bowl 53 and their offense was lackluster, but the clear needs are still on the defensive side of the ball and all three of these names would fit really well with what Wade Phillips likes to do.

Would be INSANE to end up with a couple of those guys!!! Collins is a badass Safety... Richardson has underachieved for a few years now so should come at a discount but could be motivated playing for a winning team....
As for Smith, I know nothing about him so, so not sure if he fits or not.

I’m hearing safeties are loaded in this years draft. Which would be nice to
Pick up on in the 3rd. That would be cheap

I expect Snead will maximize any trade opportunities with our current draft picks. We got Josh Johnson with a middle round pick so SJ's projection is right on.

As for whatever number our first overall pick is, I expect us to select the BPA on defense which will probably be one of DL, OLB, or CB.

Not sure about Sheldon Richardson... we need to quit trying to sign guys and convert them from their natural position to fit this 3-4 aka Suh... what does the draft look like for LB's and NT's?

I feel like a DT on a "prove it" type contract could be what we need again. Yes, it didn't quite work out with Suh, although he did play quite well in the playoffs...

Of course if there is a badass young DT that drops to us in the first round, I'd be all for it!!!
BUT, the only guy like that could be Jeffery Simmons who has a torn ACL and likely won't play in 2019...
