The Lakers offered the ENTIRE young core plus two first rounders and the Pelicans still rejected the deal.

Now they want 6-8 picks.

At this point it's just too much. I get AD is a superstar but they're not going to get a better deal.
They actually asked for 4 first rounders and 2 second.

Lmfao

This is r*pe.

Uh, you are wrong on this.

A trade rumor is a rumor when there are no negotiations. Once the negotiations start, it is no longer a rumor.

For example, all of this started with reports that the Lakers were interested in AD. At that point, those were rumors.

However, once the Lakers and the Pels started talking, it became a negotiation and was no longer a rumor.
OK...but the players involved are rumors. Please tell me why a FO person would actually tell anyone in the media names of guys they might trade before they are dealt?

Are you being serious?

I mean the newest article on ESPN lays out the Pelicans position and it makes a ton of sense if you ask me

The Pelicans are demanding a shit ton of draft picks in order to bypass their right to market him in the offseason when other teams cna get involved more so and the draft is set.

If the Lakers were going to get him now they were going to have to pay a premium- and they just dont have the quality of assets to do it.

The Pelicans can and should demand a young All-NBA like talent, a premium draft pick, cap relief , etc.....Davis is 25 and has 18 months left on his deal. They should get a RIDICuLOuS amount of capital- an the Lakers just dont HAVE a ridiculous amount of capitl unless they want to get crazy with future draft picks.

I wonder what the Lakers would say to Ingram, Kuzma, Hart, taking Solomon and 4 first rounders.

Someone please shove a basketball in Papa Ball's mouth to shut him the hell up. Only in his delusional world is Lonzo being held back by the organization & HC. Shit if I was the Lakers if he can be included in any type of trade get him outta L.A. so Lavar can then just bitch about another organization & the Lakers won't have to listen to his gibberish anymore.

You know Lavar is bad when a Celtics fan doesn't want the Lakers to have to deal with his shit anymore. lol

I'm a bit confused by the Detroit and Grizzlies trade. So they are just wanting Reggie Jackson?

There has to be more to that. I get his contract blows.
I didn't see this...

You live in Ohio?

I heard Lamelo has been playing well.

He always looked like he had the most natural talent of the 3.

But, he was a Shit team player.
I do....cannot say I've seen him play but I know he had a great game against one of the top teams in the state. Can't recall his name but another kid (last name might be Wade?) had 60+ in the game. Think he's a MSU recruit.

lol, so we offered all 5 of the young guys, and 2 firsts? Yeah, good luck to the Pels in the offseason. It'll be interesting to see how this unfolds...

shit I am frustrated and i am a Lakers hater-

if the Lakers just drafted better the last few years this deal would have been done a long time ago---- it has to be so frustrating to see this opportunity but to just not have the horses to pull this off

one guy- one porzinigis or fox or tatum and the Lakers HAVE Davis no if ands or buts. if they just hit big ONCE in the draft on their high picks they have the centerpiece and the rest if just haggling.....

but the Lakers just dont have the key to this deal--- 1 high level young player that is likely to be an All NBA or multi time all star.

if they have that the deal is already done.

but the young guys are just not worth that much

at the end of the day what is a zubac or hart really worth? those are guys that imminently replacabable.

Ingram, Kuzma, Hart, and 4 first rounders--- do you do that if you are the Lakers?

Eh.....I was on the Wall train too.

I said he was a better pg than Kyrie because I saw Kyrie as a SG.

He is and will be a SG if he comes to the Lakers.....James is the Lakers PG.

It does make sense, but it also ignores the risk that comes with waiting.

If the Knicks win the lottery, Kyrie pledges allegiance to Boston, and AD takes a trip to Toronto where he falls in love with the city and two canadian strippers... Pels will be VERY glad they waited.

If the Knicks fall out of the top-5, Tatum slips in his kitchen, and Kyrie retires early to start a hippie village in Nepal.... they will deeply regret waiting.

Two in the bush can be tempting but one in the hand is real.

He's The GOAT of untradeable contracts.
dude that contract is like if you took barrels of nuclear waste and soaked it in ebola virus and sprayed sarin gas on it and then had Charles Barkley take a dump on it after a night of drinking and mexican food. lol

Beal has been BALLING lately.

The Lakers should pivot that way and try and keep room open for Davis in a year and a half.

Not until this summer, and not until AD is traded elsewhere.
