Maybe he was shopping for real estate and needed a few day...

He just bought that giant LA Mansion to get ready for his Clippers career next season.

Glad, Toronto gave him a few days off to go and close on it.

you mean the San Diego mansion he bought that is a 3 hour drive to LA?

Nothing to see here but nice try

You will get over him soon

That's one of the things about the climate out here, especially in SoCal in the beach cities. People want to live here because of it.

Several professional athletes from all major sports own houses in Southern California and every time a star player buys a house out here, people think he's coming to one of the professional teams here...especially the Lakers. lol

Obviously, until Kawhi actually re-signs with the Raptors, people are going to talk about him coming to the Lakers or Clippers.

Personally, I expect that he will re-sign in Toronto. As I've posted before, from what I've read and heard players either "get it", love Toronto and want to stay. Or they don't and want out asap.

Kawhi seems like the kind of player who would "get it" and want to stay. But until he re-signs, I expect both the Lakers and Clippers will look to try to get him and people will speculate about him signing with one of them.

That mansion is actually in San Diego County, a large commute (109 miles from Staples) to do daily (3+ hours each way?).

The idea that any free agent would spurn all other takers (everyone with cap space will be interested) and sign with the Clippers is so foreign that it seems impossible. I will believe it when I see it.

I said this on the main thread, should be said here too.

The single most important objective for the Toronto Raptors this season is resigning Kawhi Leonard. That is literally all that matters. If they can do it, they will be on the short list of contenders for the next 3-4 years. If they can't, they will just be another good team with no real shot.

And nobody is beating GS this season.

So if resting Kawhi and drawing up late game ISO's for Kawhi makes him feel valued enough that he resigns, then Toronto is 100% doing the right thing for their franchise in the long run.

They might have the ammo to get Brow...that would change the convo.

Having OG and Siakam is a nice starting point.

Not sure they will have enough to totally do it, but you can have that convo for sure.

He bought a house in San Diego. San Diego is twice as far from the Clippers' arena as Austin is from San Antonio.

Do a lot of Spurs players live in Austin?

/Kawhi bought a house in Toronto a month after being traded here. He's just smart.

Depends on if having Brow for two playoff runs makes more sense than having Siakam for those runs and then as a focal point into the future, especially if Kawhi leaves.

Gambling for Kawhi made sense. Gambling for AD is very different business.

/I'd much rather they upgrade their PG because I trust Lowry as much as I trust the guy who told me my two year old furnace was toast.

I think it’s hard for either leave if you have both. That’s 2 top 5ish players plus Lowry.

It's palatable if you win a championship and then see them walk. 5 years of pain is fine with me if there's a banner hanging.

Plus they can win and then flip AD for pieces.

K shit i'm talking myself into this.

OG regressing this year is really hurting their chances of making a deal.

How long is it for a helicopter ride? Asking for a friend.

He just wants a house in San Diego for the offseason. Understandable, I do too (actually for year round, lol). (Would still love to get him in a Lakers uni...)
