Most likely won't be able to maintain shooting at that clip the entire season. But if he does good for him & Sac.Buddy shooting like 56 percent from 3 point line is sick. He is well above anyone in the league.
Also if Westbrook continues to play like he did last night that team can go places.
It's a lazy comparison.
Magic: 18 ppg on 12.3 shots, .530/.226/.810, only attempted .4 3s per game, 7.7 reb, 7.3 ast, 2.4 stl
Doncic: 20 ppg on 15.3 shots, .428/.356/.730, 6.6 3s attempted per game, 6.8 reb, 5.3 ast, 1.2 stl
Beyond the stats, Magic was more athletic, taller, had a better handle, etc.
I didn't watch the game so I would have to hear what context Ralph Lawler said it in. DJ can over exaggerate things that he heard/saw
Very possible he meant it in the same way Doc said it as which was in terms of impact as a rookie. I'm almost certain he did because this is obviously where he got it from.
I didn't see the game either. In terms of impact as a rookie, I would have to LOL as well. I'm going to go ahead and guess Doncic doesn't even reach the finals, let alone have the impact Magic did when he got there.
I'm not up in arms about anything.
Comparing him to a certain player means they see similarity in their style of play. Really don't see the issue.
Did the Clippers commentator say Doncic will be better than Magic? If he didn't, this is much adu about nothing

He said something along the lines that Doncic is having an impact like Magic did when he came into the League and it surprised me because Lawler is an excellent announcer. I like him but that seemed like a bit of hyperbole to me.
To be fair, Magic joined a far more talented team than Doncic did.
In a way, he has.
The Lakers went 47-35 the season before they drafted Magic. They finished 60-22 his rookie season for a 13 game improvement.
Last year, the Mavs were 24-58. So far this year, they are 21-26. Right now, they are on pace for about 37 wins. Also a 13 game improvement.
How much more talented though? Can you post some kind of graph to illustrate the difference? And as a favor don't mention who won it all in 1980.
He's a good player, don't get me wrong.....but he wasn't the only addition during the last off-season.
Actually, looking at their roster from last year to this, it's pretty much the same. The only other significant addition was DeAndre Jordan.

And you don't think Jordan has helped them.....????
Doncic is responsible for the 13 game improvement all by himself?
