Honestly, as great a roster as the Rams have (especially on D) the ONE thing that really bothers me about this matchup is Wade Phillips. He knows how to gameplan to frustrate Brady. To me, if the Rams win, it will be because of him, his familiarity and ability to gameplan for Brady.

You nailed the x factor, nobody is mentioning Wade Phillips, none of the analysis, none of these media types. They are making it Bill versus Sean

I'm thinking some Patriots fans are lulling themselves into a false sense of security. As if since they beat the Chiefs, they can't see how they could possibly lose to the Rams. If you want to think the Chiefs and Saints are better, than that is fine, you would be wrong, but you can think that. Don't underestimate what you are getting into, going into the playoffs the Rams were considered to have a bad run defense and an average offensive line, those turned out to be regular season myths.

If you want to say the Patriots will win because the Patriots have a lot more experience and the Rams are pretty inexperienced and that always plays a part in the Super Bowl, than you have a legit argument and a valid point. I couldn't possibly see how someone can make a legit argument for the Rams getting blown out. There are mutiple points to understanding how good of a coach Sean McVay is, he took a 4-12 in two years to the Super Bowl and in those years, he has had the Rsms team as not only the best road team in the NFL but is also 18-0 when the Rams have a second half lead.

We hit on another point earlier about Wade Phillips, this isn't the Chiefs with their bad defensive scheme where the DC was fired, because his game plan was so bad. Wade knows Brady, Wade will find ways to get pressure on Brady and this time he riding the best defensive player in football, another All Pro in Suh, and Fowler who has been killing it in the playoffs

I think there is actually a really good chance one of these two teams gets blown out.

The way the Rams get blown out: Patriots copy what the Bears did and Goff chokes and turns the ball over a lot.
The way the Patriots get blown out: Donald rattles Brady and he starts turning the ball over a lot.

I doubt both happen. But one of those two things could happen.

Should be a close game, can't see NE winning by more than 28 pts. But seriously Pats were the young huge dog in 02, and Giants huge dog in 07, so anybody's game. Rams are such a huge improvement once Sean took over, and Jeff Fisher's stink left the building, Dickerson was right on

I might be missing something bro (and if I am I apologize) but I don’t see the majority of pats fans saying this will be a blowout or are even predicting a win.

First, you know I agree with the wade Phillips factor. In fact, I was one of the first (or maybe even the first) to bring it up! Second, pats fans have never experienced a blowout in a SB and they’ve had far better teams than this one. This leads me to my third point, this Pats team is far from the best one ever to make it to the SB. In fact, it may be the worst. They are really struggling for weapons. Fourth, the Rams stopped the saints at home! That will prove to be harder than stopping the pats on a neutral field.

I could keep going but this will by far be the biggest test the Pats have faced all year. This will not be the biggest test the Rams have faced all year. The ONLY clear advantage the pats have is having played on this stage before.

I don't see a blowout either way. This is a toss up. Both teams are very good and deserve to be here

Rams have that D line that could cause Brady some issues.... that's the only way to stop Brady, you gotta get to him... Rams also have the running game advantage, but don't sleep on the Pats D, they're playing well ...

You're mentioning the Chiefs a few times but the Patriots also thoroughly dismantled the 12-4 Chargers

I wasn't referring to you in particular, Twitter mostly.

True, I think the Chargers were fatigued, combined with an inexperienced coach. Back to back east coast trips, not really having a home game all season. Four of their last 5 games were on the road, hell 5 of their last 7. That will kick any teams ass.

Put me down for the Rams. It's about time somebody whipped Brady's butt and put the Pats in their place.

No doubt! Third road game in a row. Back to back cross country trips. Pats were rested and at home.

That right there explains a lot
