Bullshit!!! If you have time go back and dissect the "WHOLE" game and you will see that they were several blown calls on both teams. The Rams had the ball in the redzone and Goff had his helmet grabbed, there was no facemask called by the refs. It was a "BLATANT" facemask that wasn't call. If it were called the Rams would have 1st and goal. What makes a difference of a blown call in the 1,2 or 3rd quarter, than a blown call in the 4th quarter? Saint fans have to quit bitching about the bad calls, as both teams got away with bad calls.

What makes a difference of a blown call in the 1,2 or 3rd quarter, than a blown call in the 4th quarter?

Because the fucking game is on the line. 1st quarter bad calls have significantly less impact upon the game.

...and for fuck's sake you keep clinging to a facemask being touched. Did it decide the game's outcome?

Bullshit!!! A bad call is a bad call no mater if it's in the 1st, 2nd 3rd or 4th quarter. Yes maybe the facemask non-call could/would have had a big impact on the game. So you don't think the game is on the line in 1st quarter? By the way I'm going to keep bringing up "the blown facemask call", as long as these Saint fans keep crying about one blown call.

Yup, sorry you guys got hosed...and if I have any horse in this race, I'd rather face Goff than Brees so I couldn't be more neutral.

rams 1st and goal and score only ties or up 4/ saints first and goal under 2 minutes to go ftw....enough with this equally stupid bullshit already
What? Who said anything about points. I was talking about bad calls going both ways. I can't remember the score of the game when the refs missed the facemask on Goff. Who said either teams scores after a penalty is called. I say "enough of the Saints fans whining like little bitches". The game is over, time to move on.

Do you really care about a game played in 2017?
No, and I don't really care about the calls, or missed calls, in 2018 either. I'd like the officiating to be correct but I understand the NFL wanting to allow as much random luck in games as they can get away with. Weaker teams need to benefit from random luck to be successful and without random luck there'd be less reason for fans of those teams to watch them.

...The Saints had plenty of chances in this game to not let the outcome come down to a bad call by the refs, but they didn't execute and let a plucky team hang around and steal a game from them. If the Rams had lost in this exact fashion, I'd be pissed that my team didn't fucking close, not bitching about a call that never should have happened.
I'd be bitching about both.

meh...but i'm old and i'd be over it after 10 minutes, much like I was after the Super Bowl loss to the Patriots.

You could have stopped after the first sentence like most of the deniers in here.

Saints got hosed and it cost them the game. It's simply denial to try to equate a first quarter holding or missed facemask call to a game-changing call with time running out. To state that there were other opportunities to have put the score above where the bad call would decide the outcome is simply retarded.

.....same retardation and denial that fuels the injuries are no excuse crowd.
An interesting take:

One person who has grown tired of the constant talk is Rams left tackle Andrew Whitworth, who called into The Rich Eisen Show to talk about the game. Whitworth called the arguments from the Saints and their players “an excuse” and pointed out how the Saints had plenty of chances to close out the game after the play, saying “the reality is, football was played after that snap.”

Whitworth echoed the sentiment many Rams fans have been sharing on social media, imploring people to look at “how many times the [play] clock was on zero when they snapped it, and the different face mask calls that were missed in the game.”

Whitworth said many calls were missed on both sides, and that the missed face mask call on Jared Goff at the Saints’ 2-yard line on the preceding drive arguably had a bigger impact on the game because if the Rams had scored a touchdown there, the Saints would’ve been down four.

“It’s hard to say that the last foul is the foul you want to argue about that’s missed, I mean if you’ve got to argue about that one, then you have to go back and fix the others,” Whitworth added.

The receiver was laid out and there should have been a PF for helmet to helmet with PI on top of it. It's a fucking historic bad call.

Why no mention of the facemask(non call) on Goff on the previous drive? If the ref makes the call, Rams would have had the ball 1st and 10 on the 2yard line with a chance to go ahead by 4 points. But instead kicked a FG to tie! Phucking Bull Chit!

I can't help it if you are "self-centered and closed-minded". That is your problem not mine. :noidea:

Well I can live with that...sure beats being retarded.
