Really dude?? Cause I had friends growing up whose parents came here during that time who NEVER bothered to learn english. Still considered Italy the home land.

Now in most ( all cases actually) there kids born here assimilated just fine, which is generally what happens.

last time i checked the US is a soveriegn nation and requesting asylum and having it being granted is a huge diffference you dont have any right to have it approved

You are right, no guarantee it will be granted. But according to the law of the land, people do in fact have a right to request it as much as that seems to bother some Americans.

And you are right we dont NEED the UN or Nato... but countries that think they can go it alone usually fail, or get visions of world conquest.

Is that what we are hoping for??

didnt happen when the league of nations was formed . in fact america withdrew from world affairs a lot the arsenal for democracy didnt try to take over the world . now socailist , communist and fascist did but they were members

I take it yo have never visited the Smithsonian, which aside from some add ons is FREE to all visitors. Same for the National Zoo

Sorry but the law states violence isn’t enough...it has to be persecution. This isn’t the twenties, thirties, flurries, fifties...we don’t need people.
