With Daytona about a month away, I thought we would get the season thread matriculating onward. If you notice in these 2019 paint schemes article, the cars are slowly, every-so slightly beginning to look separate and more like the stock cars they are emulating. The noses are getting more and more distinguishable especially with the addition of the Mustang this year even though it has some Fusion in the design. Perhaps this is a conscience change and if it is, it is a huge step in the right direction for NASCAR. A retirn to its successful roots. See what all of you think.

Oh you mean NASCAR is going to race a RWD V8 car like you can go to the showrooms and buy?

What a novel concept.:pound:

I'm with the rule itself, it's the governing body I don't like. They're as shady and wishy washy as the NCAA. I don't trust them to apply it and enforce it equally.

A lot of the failed post race inspections are minor, and are likely caused due to wear and tear throughout the race.

Taking away the win in most of these cases would be idiotic. Take away some points, fine and suspend the crew chief and be done with it.

I understand that there are variances built in for that specific purpose; to allow for wear and tear during the race.

I'm sure there is, but probably not enough. If it's an impound race, and it passes pre race inspection, it's a bit hard for me to believe they're doing any illegal alterations during the race that wouldn't be caught.

True. I agree with that, for sure.

Well, the clash sucked ass!! Might be the worst one ever. They have lights! Dry the track and run it!

I am all for taking away the win.
This is how it is at our tracks all over the States.
If our cars are found illegal. Well it is illegal.

We would lose the win & points. (& be subject to suspensions)

Frankly I think it should have been this way all along.

Every now & then sure it will be unfortunate, like you say.
But many times it is ingenuity by teams.
Bleeding tires, the back window, several things just the last couple years.
If nascar is gonna draw a line. Make it definite.

Whether it is unfortunate or not.

I am all for this rule.

Hendricks has the Camaro's figured-out and looks like Ford didn't miss a beat with the new Mustang from the Fusion. The grille on the Mustang looks eerily similar to the Fusion's grille.
