by such a bullshit rule, it isn't even a rule anymore

I didn't see any petitions

Haha proving everyone's point. Jeezus stop whinning.

First it was a properly enforced rule at the time. Even if it was a dumb rule. Also many rules have been added or taken away over the years. So your point has zero bearing.

As for a petition the majority of Faider fans can't write. Who would've written it for them?

A young man from Maine called the local sports radio show I listen to (when I can) and said he was in KC and attended the game. He said that the KC fans were pretty friendly throughout the game and only a few got pissy with the nE fans after the game.

Makes it obvious tHoop has a lot of cry babies.

Hmm Rams was a little more blatant (although even Bettis fumbled at goal line in 2005 and Pitts almost didn't make the SBOWL (and win) - so can never call anything for sure) but where did the Chiefs get screwed?

Ford was CLEARLY offsides, everything else seemed legit... by the time we got to OT the Chiefs D was gassed. Not that it really mattered anyway when the 31st ranked D marches on the field.

Course I didn't watch the whole game so maybe there was something else. One of the announcers was jacking off over Brady late into the 4th quarter non-stop. Maybe that's what they're complaining about.

It's funny how the losing team always got screwed either on a bad call or a missed call.

There is no mention of the numerous illegal pick plays KC ran or the constant push offs by Kelce and co.

On another post Romo is being hailed as a servant. He called these out as well so it's not a fanboy slant on my part.
Or we're reaching PE1 stage for KC fans where Romo is great at calling the play but wrong at calling penalties.

Fair. To me it's a conspiracy by the NFL.

Commissioner/Owners: "God if we call the game 100% correctly and rely totally on computers (even with MLB strike zone), fans may commit suicide, or stop watching their team all together realizing they lost and suck. Sales will surely plummet. What do we do?"

Tim (there's always a 'Tim' behind this stuff'): "We need a scapegoat. SOMEONE out there to give hope to losing teams that SOMEONE was behind it. SOMEONE was at fault other than the team."

*Tim/Owners/Commissioner look at each other* "THE CHEERLEADERS!!!!"

Jerry Jones: "YAH!"

Tim: "No no no, the refs! Blame the refs! Fans will surely be able to blame the refs if they lose! It's easy!"

Commissioner/Owners: "Yah, but we have challenges, and instant replay!"

Tim: "Yah but they're human, and we can limit the # of challenges. It's one of those things that somehow people can scream about the refs and we'll just say we fired them, and nobody really recognizes the refs if we hire black men and old white guys, so it's fine. And then fans will argue against each other creating rivalries and hate, and MORE passion for football."

Commissioner: "Scott (because Scott is really in charge of stuff), make it happen."

i didn't watch the game but in the highlights i saw questionable roughing call on brady, and a muffed punt by edlemen reversed by the referees.

There were several. Each on their own was no big deal. But all of them combined, 90% favored NE.

Oh well it's over now. The Chiefs did have their chances regardless. They blew it.

How in the hell can Chiefs fans say they got robbed. They cheat on every play on defense. They hold on every pass because they know the ref can't call it on every play. They also use pick plays to get their recievers open at a rate like I've never seen before. Its absurd that they get away with it.
This whole thread is a huge strawman tbh. At most, you'll see irritation on the roughing the passer nonsense which was bullshit, clear as day; and there's a contrarian point of view that the offsides really should've been offset because the LT was in the backfield I guess (that I don't know the precise rule on, so I can't laugh at it right now)

It was a great game and whomever won the coin toss in OT was going to win the game. Sometimes that is what it comes down to; a coin flip

Without a doubt the Brady thing was bs even we NE fans said so. I've been a long time advocate of refs should be allowed to use discretion on those type of calls. It shouldn't just be black and white. The defender did graze the facemask you can see it on replay. Brady's head drops slightly and he closed his eyes. So by the law it's a foul. Totally ignorant on the NFL and comp committee to allow these kind of rules.
But refs do what they always do and gave KC a make up when Flowers hit Mahomes in the thigh and slid down his legs.

The Edelman call was subjective at best. Personally I don't think he touched it. The "thumb" everyone was pointing out was actually the glove strap. He leaves his undone. Doesn't change the fact if the ball hit the strap. But I don't think it did. Since the call on the field was fumble I didn't think it would be overturned. But I'm glad it was.
