Yeah dude it does matter. And it also matters that no one knows who it’s is.

I’m sorry did you extrapolate and assume again. I can’t take u serious more subjectivity

So tell me what’s the difference between a GM or an Executive saying it cause GMs are an executive. I’m interested in you telling me how it affects the discussion. It doesn’t... but this should be good.

One-year wonders worry me, especially when they are Seniors. There is a reason players don't come out early and its not because they are great players.

He didn't come out early, but Allen isn't a 1-year wonder. He had significant, first-round / early-2nd-round hype before this college season started. I follow the draft really closely. Just not top-10 hype like he's getting right now.

I gotta see a much larger repertoir of pass rush moves before I can be sold on the guy. He wins mostly on speed, and while that's good and all, he'll never take to the next level if that's all he has. I haven't seen much speed-to-power, or counter moves.

A trade down for SF, and they get him somewhere in the 10-15 range...I'm OK with it. As of right now, I want no part of him @ 2. I have to see more.

Totally agree. He's not even close to 2-worthy. Niners need to draft either Bosa or Q. Williams if they pick at 2.

BTW. Christian Wilkins: criminally underrated. I think he's going to perform close to Q. Williams in the NFL IMO. 28 would be grand-theft DT.

Yup. I've been all in on Bosa, but if Ariz goes in that direction, the only thing other than Williams at this point is a massive trade down (and get a guy like Allen).

I'd rather target a guy like Devin White and go for a DE in FA, but Allen wouldn't be a bad pick.

My dream scenario is:

1. Trade down w/ Jacksonville for Jalen Ramsey (Niners throw in a 2nd from next year).
2. Take Devin White at 7 (still pissed Lynch took Reuben Foster; I wanted Cam Robinson).
3. Trade up from round 2 this year somehow and get Christian Wilkins.
4. :headbanger:

That would make me one happy NinerSickness.

Niners need to build for 2020 IMO. I don't think they have enough ammo' to make a SB run next year, and it usually takes any player (QBs included) longer than 1 year to come back to full form from an ACL tear. So I'd be fine waiting another year to get the LEO.

1) Bosa, and call it a day.
2) Bosa gone? Trade back and get a shit-ton of picks. Jax wanna QB? I like getting a talent like Ramsey, but I ain't throwing in a 2nd next year. Swap picks + Ramsey, and I'm all in. This is (hopefully, since I don't want him period) the only way I can somehow....'accept' getting Brown from the Steelers. They simply don't have the draft capitol this year to make any moves, and SF is still rebuilding.
3) Williams, and call it a day.

well this is simple. Your assuming all execs are GM's. Your assuming all execs have their hands in the team and roster. Thats just not true. SO yeah it matters its not that hard.

Does it really matter one bit if it was a GM or exec. People attack points that have no bearing on the point. I know Wentz has a lot to overcome. I know he’s had 2 injuries so far that’s a concern. No doubt. Just saw a thread of “Bleed Green”. If Foles played 16 games this year he would have had 3800 yards 20 TDs and 14 Ints. If Wentz played all 16 he was on paces for 4800, 32 TDs and 10 picks. Was he as good as his 2nd year. No! But people on here acting like 4800 yards, 32 TDs and 10 Ints would be so so. All that with no run game and still not fully healed. Did you hear me? 4800/32/10.
using this metric, did this bleed green thread also point out under Wentz you would have a losing record & under Foles you would be in the playoffs?

here we are again, arguing logic, and not be able to insert objectivity. @PhoenixEagles1 if you bring anything to the table that isnt homerism, or prove that some exec with a foundation said your claims, bring to the foles thread

I don't know, man. 64 tackles and 14 sacks total in two seasons seems pretty pedestrian to me. The senior season is the only one worth note in my opinion.
i guess, yeah. I thought the tackles were higher year two i read it wrong. I know he was disruptive.

Steelers pride in post #160 of this thread posted his career numbers at Kentucky. His freshman season was a bust and Sophomore and Junior numbers looked very pedestrian. Check it out. Maybe I'm missing something. 64 total tackles in two years and only 14 sacks in two years? Not good by any stretch.

Well, you will probably turn out to be right anyway. People who know a heck of a lot more than I do about football are saying he's a top 5 pick, so.........

His freshman season wasn't a "bust." D-linemen don't just come in and dominate as freshmen (with rare exceptions). And you've got some extremely high standards if you think 14 sacks and 19 TFL in a CFB player's sophomore & junior year is "pedestrian." That's not even close to pedestrian.

JPP got 6.5 sacks his last year in CFB, and the NFL knew the guy was great because they watched him play. You're right that his pass-rush moves aren't refined, and that's why I wouldn't take him at 2. But the guy is a serious talent. He has the talent, the drive & the big body to do some major damage in the NFL.
