I don't disagree with any of this but it's still an indicator they're willing to spend big on this project.
This makes me nervous because it reminds me of the waning days of WCW where they were overpaying aging stars to the detriment of the young guys (Radicles) and even paying wrestlers a lot (upper mid 6 figures) to stay at home (Lanny Puffo) and never wrestle or appear on TV for them. Not that the latter is happening here or that WWE doesn't pay guys who we rarely see. IMO opinion spending big isn't good unless you're spending it wisely and you have revenue streams coming in. But it's still early for this new company and only time will tell if they can avoid or more importantly IMO recognize and overcome mistakes quickly. We all know they're bound to make some mistakes but ID'ing and fixing them quickly is a big key to success.

There is another thing about AEW that is bothering me. It's everyone saying wins and losses will matter. While I get where they are coming from, it's Pro Wrestling, wins and losses aren't what is most important. IMO getting over with the fans, drawing money, and building interesting characters and storylines which feeds back into the first 2 that are most important. Time will tell what they really mean by that but if they mean every match will have a clear winner then they are booking themselves into a corner from the get go.

There is a report circulating around that the "top guys" are nearly finished with the WWE

I admit there are some interesting rules.

I think the Wins and Losses are a popshot at WWE. I think it matters but I think those ones you mentioned matter as well. As Cody said during the Rally "Fans matter".

As for pay. I agree with the this. For personal reasons for that are another story for another time. Each worker should be paid almost evenly. To explain almost evenly. I will provide a example:

For a show on February 18th 2020.

James, who won a main event match, earned 450$

Henry, who lost opening match, earns 400$

That is what I think the money was meant.

I do think paying people to stay away should only be used in 2 cases. Your Injured, for which you earn the normal rate of pay you'd earn if you worked the show, or nothing for you, which a small dock (75$) of what you would normally earn for working on the show. Any way else is bs

Here's why I like the ranking system and W/L concept...

Let's say Ziggler and Mojo Rawley have a match on Raw next week. That would be time filler in between segments. Now if you introduce a ranking concept on Raw and Ziggler is ranked 7th and Mojo is unranked there's stakes. Both wrestlers can move up and down the card based on the outcome. The TV matches become important because they'll determine who gets title shots at the PPVs. It will all depend on execution but I like the idea in theory.

As far as their revenue stream I feel confident they have a major TV /streaming deal in the final stages and are planning an announcement at the right time

Hmm. Just pondering while I got some free minutes.

Dolph contract is up Jan. 31st and he turned down a WWE gig as a producer.

He changed his Twitter account to his name.

He is continuing do comedy.

Maybe with the lighter schedule. AEW is looking appealing????

Have a hunch we're going to see all the old Bullet Club OG's head to AEW once those WWE contracts are up. Just imagine AEW pulling in Styles and Balor. Seems far-fetched, but the Khan's have a lot of money and there's that whole lighter schedule thing.

What Cody and the Bucks have done/are doing is a major game-changer. They're proving that there's more to pro wrestling than selling out to WWE or living hand-to-mouth on the Indy circuit.

Definitely wouldn't be surprised to see Gallows and Anderson head there since they've done nothing once they split them from AJ after a few months. I'm thinking that AJ will stay with WWE if they offer him a reduced schedule like Orton has. As for Balor, I have no clue on what his mindset currently is or would be when his contract is close to coming up.
The one I'd really like to see either there, RoH or NJPW is Chad Gable. WWE completely missed the boat on that guy.

Actually I believe recently Gallows(or Anderson can't remember) has said they actually love being WWE. Don't see them leaving anytime soon.

I want to say it was Anderson if I remember correctly but could be misremembering it as well. I just figured at the time that he was towing the company line and they were both biding there time. But I had heard rumors of Gallows dating Nia Jax so now that you mention it, there could be truth to that and they stay on for a while.

AEW is having a ticket announcement party for Double or Nothing on Feb 7th, 9pmEST. It'll be streamed on social media and youtube. They are supposedly gonna announce more signings and also a "surprise special guest".

I'm hoping Omega is a given with all the BTE teases and the "surprise" is someone completely off the radar

Lucha Central is reporting that despite the handshake with the Young Bucks to join All Elite Wrestling at last night's Hell or High Water in Atlanta, the Lucha Brothers have not signed exclusive deals with the company.

Pentagon and Fenix will be appearing on future dates for AEW, however, they are currently not officially under contracts allowing them to work Impact, MLW, AAA etc.

That's a lot of promotions. They're gonna have so many frequent flyer miles.

Cody? I mean, that's subjective.

Well it’s the internet bro, you could at least she slept with him to bump you up a few notches. On the interweb my wife got railed by Channing Tatum.
