Cyborg was just reckless, She did exactly what Aldo did against Mcgregor.

He's soooooo much better than every other fighter. His skillset, fight IQ, etc are just levels above everyone else. Makes you wonder why the dumbass keeps taking steroids. He's like Barry Bonds. Already a HOF without him, yet did them anyway.

He better not get use to that belt though. Given his recent track record, he'll lose it in a few days due to more steroids and a shit ton of coke

A month? We'll probably know by the end of next week. That potential DC fight will probably never happen because Bones will get suspended again and DC will just stay retired. Though if he were smart, DC wouldn't even bother considering what's happened to him both times he's fought Jon Jones. Steroids or not, he don't want that smoke

Here's the Lioness knocking Cyborg out, at least while it lasts before being deleted.

The light heavyweight division is so damn weak. Gus was number 2 ranked fighter in the division and he is now 3-4 in his last 7 fights. What fight really excites anyone that isn’t dc? Santos? Reyes?

MMA has really lost its luster. For me at least.

Need some new rising stars and much better promotion.

Nothing makes sense but Jon Vs DC. Assuming Jon isnt busted for something again. Assuming Jon is clean and there is a fight on everyone's mind, it has to be against DC.

Also, i thought it was funny Jon saying he would go up to Heavyweight in the future months back. Then before he beat Alex he said he wouldnt. He also says he wont fight DC at Heavy. Such a cop out bitch. DC at heavy Knocks bitches out lol.

DC is old and has lost twice to him already. That fight isn't exciting to me.

I think the 155 division is must see. Any matchup in the top 15 is likely going to be competitive and high level. Tj and Cody kinda killed the 135. It’s going to be over 2 yrs with only Cody and Tj fighting for the belt. 145 is good. Everybody in the higher weight classes is scares to fight each other

There are actually a ton of good young fighters who are on the come up, but they haven't made their mark yet.

Zabit at 145 is a killer. I think we'll see a title fight this year between him and Max, TBH. After he beats Jeremy Stephens, I think you'll see him fight Jose, with the winner of that getting another Title shot.

155, man that whole division is stacked.

Santiago Ponzinbbio will get a title shot soon too. You got Ben Askren now in the mix, although he said he wouldn't fight Woodley.

Luke Rockhold going up to 205 to face Jon Jones would be a great fight, IMO. I'm really impressed with Dominic Reyes too. Johnny Walker is someone to keep an eye out for too at 205.

Tatiana Suarez I'm guessing is going to be the new straw weight champ at some point in 2019. 125 is gonna suck for a while since Valentina can hold on to that belt for as long as she feels like. No one is even close to her.

Some fights I want to see this year:

Brian Ortega vs. Alexander Volkanovski
Zabit Magomedshapirov vs. Jose Aldo
Conor McGregor vs. Max Holloway
Khabib Nurmagomedov vs. Tony Ferguson
Nate Diaz vs. Dustin Poirer (get this fight back on)
Al Iaquinta vs. Ben Askren (165lb division, hopefully)
Darren Till vs. Santiago Ponzinbbio
Israel Adesanya vs. Robert Whittaker
Jon Jones vs. Luke Rockhold
Cain Velasquez vs. Stipe Miocic
Tatiana Suarez vs. Jessica Andrade
Amanda Nunes vs. Holly Holm

Thanks for this information. I think the UFC needs to promote fights more frequently. I used to be very excited for upcoming fights, but now I have to google them to see what is coming.

I agree wholeheartedly. Part of their business model that hurts them is that their roster is simply too deep. They're rooted in this model of just acquiring all the top talent, without any real goal for them. It's basically "well if you win, you'll move up". In theory this is great with the talent rising to the top, but it also doesn't do anything to further promote guys and make them household names BEFORE they get to the big time fights.

IMO what the UFC should do is produce a show that airs maybe once a week, that promotes a certain division. Now that they're working with ESPN, it would be easy for them to be able to produce this type of content. Like for example this week, they could talk about the Lightweight division. Obviously you highlight it with some of the guys at the top, but then you also talk about some of the faster rising guys in the divisions and show case some of their wins and stoppages.

Reyes and Rockhold are the immediate guys for me. I like Thiago Santos too, looked really good against Jimi Manuwa after moving up to LHW.

I'm all aboard the Johnny Walker fight train.
