Then maybe they should shit our get off the pot......

This team needs to begin a new system now.....it's not as if they have a snowball's chance in hell this year anyways.
Patch working things is just going to lead to more failure on a team that hasn't much more room any more failures.

I think the bold is the point. No need to rush in to a hiring if this year is a lost cause. If waiting until the end of the season is what it takes to get Q, I think that's worth it. Rather than rush in to a hire now and get some scrub.

Hart starts tonight. Let's hope the team rallies around him and the new coach to start his career off right.

Should just clean house as they should've done when Hexy got shit canned.

I think Hak deserved a chance, after all he to was a victim of Hexy and his tyranny shit.....

But the tan obviously didn't agree and made the wheels turn faster to Hakstol's demise.....

But since every aspect of the tan has gone to shit, can then all!!!!!

It says to me IMO, they don't believe in the coach but still believe in the PK and the PP.....And if that is the case....damn.

I hope so. The fans seem excited for it, as the ticket prices have gone up about double a usual tuesday game these days.

I feel like this group of players has had enough chances with the excuses gone to keep saying that they are going to change. I am not on board with dumping people to dump people. My thoughts are that I think it would be mutually beneficial for some people on this squad to just move on. I am sure there are other teams out there that have talented players that they may feel the same about. Just because you are trading them doesnt mean we have to eat some sort of junk trade, just find the right partners.

It's funny how the players on this team seemed to have developed a woe is us attitude. Fuck that, you make millions of dollars, act like it. My motto as GM to the team would be play like you want it or you'll be wanting it elsewhere. I can't stand when pro athletes use a coach or something along those lines to blame their poor performance on. I hope Carter Hart shows all the critics wrong and that he is ready. I just want a good ahowing from this team because IMO they are either good players or just the over hyped group that Hexys crew said were great. If Hart does shine through then we still need a stud vet Dman to help there, guess we'll see what happens.

I'm fine with that type of trade. My point is, those kinds of trades are extremely difficult to pull off, based on the infrequency of them happening. You have to find a team in a similar situation, that has a similar player, most likely with a similar cap situation. That's why so many trades take on a buyer/seller look to them. Hextall, and now Fletcher, have said over and over they're looking for ways to make the team better. Maybe there just isn't a good deal out there. And I would rather stand pat than make a bad deal, especially at this point in the season where the playoffs chances are looking pretty bleak.

Or, up until a few weeks ago, I would've preferred to make a 'buyer' type trade. Keep the NHL talent you have, but trade away some of the young talent you have stocked up for some help now. That's what I was pushing for a few weeks ago, it just never happened and the hole has gotten deeper.

I didn't think we would see Hart until the 2nd half of the season. His last 4 games have been great. Hopefully we can keep the stupid/unnecessary penalties down. Looking forward to seeing him play. Neuvy is the backup tonight.

Yea and I think that is what you hope is the approach they are taking. Make a deal that makes sense but not rash. A message has to be sent though that its not always someone else's fault for your bad play and mistakes. It has been a long time since we have made a trade like that.

We need this kid to play well and show this season he has good potential and reach his great potential sooner than later next two seasons

The message has been sent but are our players receiving that message. Guess well see.

Yep, and there's no doubt some of the problem could be chemistry. Just something missing in the team. And I think there's probably something to that. IMO, they're missing a guy that everyone looks up to.

AMac and Elliot are the only two guys over 30 on the team. Elliot has mostly been hurt, and AMac goes back and forth between one of their worst players and watching from the press box.

If I'm not mistaken, they don't have a single player that's won a Stanley Cup, and only Giroux and JvR gotten to the Final. Giroux, Jvr, Weise, Simmonds, Voracek, and Couturier are the only skaters that have won a playoff round. Simmonds, Voracek, and Couturier only won 1.

IMO, they need someone of that pedigree. They need an older guy that's at least gone deep in the playoffs a few times. I think that type of player helps you right the ship when they look lost. But you don't have to get rid of guys to ADD that type of player. Bring that character guy in, let him flash his Stanley Cup ring(s) in the rest of their faces, and watch them look to him for leadership and how to win.

That guy can be a coach too. You bring in someone like Q and the players are going to believe his word over other coaches because he's proven it can work. He has that pedigree where you can look at what he's saying and know he knows what he's doing.
