the fact that its a "last place schedule" only effects 2 games

those 2 games were the Texans and jets.

The Texans were so bad last year because of the injuries to their best defensive player and their Qb--- and now they are in position to have a bye.

The Browns schedule- by any measure, was one of the toughest in the league this year.

The Raiders was the toughest in the AFC.

I'll ask you this again. Not that you'll answer me, you're spineless. Why didn't you have an issue w/ me being a Celtics fan the previous 4 years when LeBron was in Cleveland?

Odd you refuse to answer that simple question. You're so heartbroken/pissed off/upset that your man-crush is now a Laker you're looking for any reason to be upset towards anyone.

If you saying over & over & over that I'm not a real Cleveland sports fan because I don't hug on Dan Gilbert's nuts like you helps you recover from your devastating loss do what ya gotta do to recover. We all know you're a hot air machine. And so full of shit your eyes are probably brown.
like i said- i dont have an issue with you being a Celtics fan NOW

just dont try and call yourself a Cleveland sprots fan because you arent.

if when the Cavs and Celtics play- you root against the Cavs and for the Celtics- you arent a Cleveland sports fan.

Well you can evaluate in two ways: what it should be and what it is. I am evaluating on what it is...a top 5 schedule. It could be worse and probably should be but it isn't. Definitely bad luck but like I said having one of the toughest schedules, a top 3 youngest team and the fact they have won 3 games the last two years = a damn good year in my book speaking improvement wise.
the NFL only has 2 games that are not set in stone and are dependent on your record.

This year the Browns played:

6 division games

4 games against the AFC West

4 games against the NFC South

the remaining 2 games were the last place teams from last year in the AFC East and the AFC South

those 2 teams were the Jets and Texans. The Jets obviously blow- the Texans are obviously really freaking good.

The Browns have played 3 of the 4 teams in the NFL in bye position - Chiefs, Texans, and Saints----- and also played/will play the Steelers twice, the Ravens twice, and the Chargers.

Before the season started their schedule was ranked about the 5th toughest and that has not materially changed.

He really is a moron. All the shit he gave me the previous 4 years about how a LeBron led team knocked the Celtics outta the playoffs & that was all fine. But now that his Cavs suck out loud his Dan Gilbert Underoos are in a bunch & he's crying because I root for my father's team.

Not being a fan of your local sports teams is bad parenting....... :D

If you weren't born and raised near a particular city, I suppose you can go your own way, but what's it like rooting for a team in which nobody else in your hometown can identify with? Part of being born and raised in the suburbs of Philadelphia is that my dad and I will always have a connection through sports. That passion is matched throughout our area and we all ride the same rollercoaster, whether it be a Tony Wroten process game or the Eagles winning the Super Bowl.

Just doesn't make sense to be born and raised in the Philly area and root for another team. There will be exceptions, but for the most part, I call shenanigans on those that jump on the bandwagon of the 'popular' teams at the time.

But, that's just like, my opinion, man......

You realize that it's 2018, right?

When I was growing up, the vast majority of fans were fans of their local/hometown teams.

Why? Because there wasn't enough information about other teams and players. Most of the broadcasts were local, the newspaper coverage was local and even on the news, most of the sports coverage was local.

Then along came cable tv, satellite, the internet, etc. Now, you can watch every game from teams all over the country if you want to. It's much easier now to choose teams that aren't necessarily the local teams and you can almost follow them as well as if they were.

So, it's natural that some people are going to see teams and players that aren't their local team which gives them a better opportunity to choose another team.

You can calculate the schedule how YOU want to or we can use metrics. It's at about 5 or 6 as one of the toughest schedules. Key opponents they have played: Saints, Panthers, Steelers (2x), Ravens (2x), Chiefs, Chargers, Texans and Broncos.

So in the AFC they have played currently: #1 seed, #2 seed, #4 seed (2x), #5 seed, #6 seed (twice). Also, the #1 seed in the NFC. Just looking at the schedule you know it is one of the toughest schedules. Not sure what you are seeing.

As of right now, they have a tougher schedule than anyone in the NFC lol. And they are 5th in the AFC.

We all have a story on our fave teams.....mine just happen to be Cai teams.....doesn't mean shit if you have teams that are a distance from you or what not....

Unless you're a bandwagoner and just go with whomever is the hot team(s) of the moment.

I've always rooted for the local teams. 1993 was the year I really started to get into sports. Coincidentally all the three teams in the bay area that I rooted for were all good at the time.

Giants had just signed Barry Bonds and the Giants won 103 games.
Warriors just drafted (or acquired) Chris Webber and went on to win 50 games that year.
49ers won 10 games that year, and went on to win the Superbowl the next year.

So I guess it was easy for me to get into sports for the local teams because at the time they were all really good. Then the Giants sucked for years. 49ers went in and out. Warriors had 1 playoff appearance in a 20 year span.

There's something to be said for those that stay with the teams we have loved for years....

i can get on board with that.

not a big fan of the Wiz winning but its kinda funny when they destroy the Lakers...lol.......

Wall was auditioning for Magic.

If you're rooting against the Wiz simply because of @tlance - It's not worth the effort, dude. He's much closer to being a Lakers fan than a Wizards fan. At least, I can guarantee that's who he was rooting for on that particular night...
