Hopefully, so we all have a good game to watch, Murray does not suffer the traditional "Heisman slump" or whatever they call it. If he's on, buckle up.

Playing a defense for the first time all year is what it's called.

Dont really care who wins, I have Bama fatigue but I think I enjoy seeing the nation bitch about the SEC on the whole a lot more so I suppose Id rather see them win.

I just want good football games. All Im worried about is Kentucky and Penn State. The other games, just entertain me damnit.

Yeah, Georgia and Auburn said the same shit too.

I wasn't really talking about this year, or Oklahoma specifically, but I'll bite.

You lost to Georgia, largely because you got shut down pretty hard in the 2nd half, so I'm not sure that's a good example.

Also not sure where Auburn applies, since you didn't have a Heisman winner that year. You did manage to score 5 more points against them than Alabama did that year though.

The previous Oklahoma Heisman winner however only scored 14 pts in a loss to Florida, after putting up 50 and 60+ points against most teams that year.

Which takes us next to Adrian Peterson, where Oklahoma went on to score 19 pts in their loss to USC, who scored 55 pts.

And finally, we get to 2000 and Josh Heupel, the last time Oklahoma won a National Championship and went undefeated. However, Oklahoma only managed 13 pts in that game, in a defensive battle and a 13-2 final score.

So I'm not sure where Oklahoma has a real history of their Heisman winners showing out in the post season. But, I was actually more talking in general terms in that the Heisman winners often have crazy stats that are padded against easy defenses, and then when they play a real defense in the post season, they don't perform so well as being the reason for the "slump".

At least you don't have any unrealistic expectations leading in to the blood letting.
Oh heavens no, if anything I am a realist to the core.

I hear and read how this will all pan out.

Starting to wonder why we're going through the trouble of actually playing the game.

This must be some kind of ritualistic offering to the phallic gods acting as proxies for the universe (Alabama Football) and its hunger for self-affirming interactions of resonant fields of "reality"/space-time.

This is what happens when you put your coin in the machine and turn the handle...sometimes the hologram you get isn't the hologram you wanted.

Oh well, we're just happy to exist...right?

Caged birds singing our little heads off....right?

Damn son, you're perspective is spot on.
Unlike other teams/fans who think they actually belong on the same field with Bama.

Having no expectations of winning, let alone scoring more than 17 pernts is exactly how you should look at this scrimmage.
Hopefully, none of your boys gets maimed or anything like that.
Is Murray gonna have the Heisman Trophy on the sideline on a little podium for Tua to look at during the game?

I hope they just give it to him...

Per usual all we want is a great competitive contest where great gamesmanship is displayed, the rules are applied evenly and everyone stays healthy.

Huh. I don’t remember OU fans being such little bitches the other times OU played Bama. Of course, this is the first game that has something on the line in most of our lifetimes, so maybe that’s it.

I don't know about rivals fans, but most of the ones here are cool even if we give each other a little shit.

One of them is a fraud/trash that is AutzenRocks and sold the board out.
That still blows me away. I just hung out with Nod, Aladrew and AR two months ago at a bar near my house. We watched the Oregon/Washington St game and got drunk. He never struck me as that kind of dude. His wife showed up a little later and they seemed like nice peeps. He was waaayyy over served. Telling me that Oregon has more money than Texas and USC combined, LOL.
As a matter of fact, I don't even think he was back on Rivals when we hung out, still on his hiatus.
Bummer....

this is code for 'I'm only a frontrunner'.
who is this sabanjoylessmurderball handle on rivals? I don't recall seeing him there.

99.5% of Bama and OU fans are very civil and respectful to one another on rivals. He must be the oddball Bammer from there.
