i guess the only thing i can say is most falcons fans i've heard this year have talked about their D problems being more attributable to the massive injuries they sustained early in the season.
their offense is basically top 10 in every category but i guess someone had to go?

It goes to show how much that dynamic offense masked the defensive deficiencies the last few years. Now that the offense has struggled, it becomes just a bad team. I've seen people saying Sark had to go because the offense was struggling but that defense is still god awful. Quinn should be on the hot seat too.

Defensive injuries were a big factor regarding our crappy year. However, I wouldn’t lose sleep over Sark being let go.

The DEF lost too much firepower for this to be a playoff team, but even with the backups, they should be better than 5 wins. The Falcons lost 3 games this yr when they led in the 4Q.
Sark is kind of being the scapegoat, but when you break down his work in the key moments in games...too many times he fails because he's doing stuff that you would see a college team do. Presnap, he has a nasty habit of motioning people to exactly where the play is going, DEF adjusts floods that area, and snuffs it out.
Manuel is Quinn's guy, running Quinn's DEF...maybe they let him go too, but I would doubt it because of all the DEF injuries they had.
