Ok try to assemble the best teams from each decade. Who's best? My guess is these teams are pretty evenly matched

1980s: Magic, Bird, Kareem, Jordan, Moses (yes two centers, one of them can play PF)

1990s: Jordan, Pippen, Malone, Olajuwon, Stockton (or Payton). No room for David Robinson

2000s: Shaq, Kobe, Duncan, Iverson, Wade

2010s: LeBron, Durant, Davis, Curry, Harden (maybe Kawhi instead of Harden for defense)

Lots of great players you could sub in, which is what makes it fun

How about this..do it for each position for the most part. I will add in 60's and 70's too. Can't use a player in multiple decades...

1960's
PG - Oscar
SG - West
SF - Baylor
PF - Russell (let him play PF since he was undersized)
C - Wilt

1970's
PG - Frazier
SG - Hondo
SF - Erving (sorry Rick)
PF - Hayes
C - Kareem

1980's
PG - Magic
SG - Nique (really a SF)
SF - Bird
PF - McHale
C - Moses

1990's
PG - Stockton
SG - MJ
SF - Pippen
PF - The Mailman
C - Hakeem

2000's
PG - AI
SG - Kobe (sorry Wade)
SF - Lebron
PF - Duncan (sorry KG)
C - Shaq

2010's
PG - Steph
SG - Harden
SF - KD
PF - Dirk
C - Dwight/Cousins

Also a good way to do it. Our 1990s team is identical. But no Anthony Davis at center for the 2010s?

Yeah you could throw him in there. He's been dominant in 5 of the 10's seasons so far

I agree with everything so far.

The only issue I would have is Pippen in the 90s. Yes he was good but unlike pretty much every other player mentioned he was a clear #2 option. But because of the lack of choices I would have him in too.

The hell? Who's #1 at SF in the 90s? Dude could do everything, score, defend 1-4, pass, rebound...no one in the 90s would be better for that slot

The reason the 96 Bulls are one of the greatest teams ever, if not the greatest, is Pippen being there. MJ alone doesn't cut it.

No I agree with that. But like I said, it's mainly because there wasn't really a better SF in the league at that time. You compare him to other decade players like Baylor, Erving, Worthy, Lebron and KD and he's almost laughable.

Pippen is the only guy on that list that never cut it as a lone star.

The others were better but not Baylor or Worthy. Please.

The only reason he is in there is bc of lack of options especially at SF. He wasn't one of the top 5 players in the 1990's.

Worthy, no. I would have to disagree with Baylor, he was great. He played in the 60's though but he dominated. Maybe he wasn't the defender Pippen was but all-around he was better than Pippen. Pippen isn't top 40 on a lot of lists and mine, Baylor is.

I'd take Worthy over Pippen. Hard to say with Baylor because there is too much of a gap between when Baylor played and when Pippen played. But for his era, Baylor was about as special as it gets.

Worthy is one of the more underrated Hall of Famers because he played with Magic and Kareem which cut into his production.

He could have/would have been the #1 option on virtually ever other team in the league. But chose to stay with the Lakers and win championships.

LeBron over Wade in the 2000's. Drafted same year- LeBron way better.

The thing is it may not work to be so focused on positions. The 90s Bulls didn't have a true PG, with Pippen and Jordan and others bringing the ball up usually.

And my little game is partly about seeing which decade gives you the best team, I think you need Pippen on that 90s team to compete with the other decades

That's fair, if you are allowed to have a guy in 2 decades. Probably only Jordan, LeBron, and Kareem qualify for that.

Replace Worthy with Pippen and Lakers with Bulls in that last part and it still makes sense

Exactly what I'm saying. Probably not even top 10 in the 90s

I'd take Shaq, David Robinson, Alonzo Mourning, Chris Webber, Charles Barkley, Tim Duncan and Gary Payton all over Pippen in a heartbeat

Strong argument for Shaq too although even I would take Hakeem over him in the 90s. But barely.

Even Shaq said Hakeem was way better than him in the 90s, as the Orlando v Houston finals series proved. Shaq respected him a ton, and completely disrespected David Robinson for some reason.
