The market dictates what Dak is worth. Not his fault. And no, you can’t do much better than Dak. The Cowboys were lucky to get Dak. Could have easily had Johnny Manziel or Paxton Lynch. Unless you can get Andy Reid to coach this team, I’m not comfortable with this organization finding a better QB.
Respectfully disagree on can’t do much better than Dak.
Yes we could have had either Johnny or Paxton and that would have been a disaster. And yes the market dictates what Dak will get but that does not mean he is worth the cost. I don’t hate Dak I just want better. Best quote I heard is this “with Dak at Qb you can’t have this coaching staff and with this coaching staff you can’t gave Dak at QB” hopefully the Cowboys change coaching staff and the new coaches make Dak Great. I want him to succeed. I just don’t have confidence it will happen

I would feel better if they get rid of Scott and Moore. They are not helping Dak IMO.

This is a regurgitated conversation. We've had it over and over, and so has most NFL teams. QBs are the lightning rod for every team's fans, right or wrong.

IMO, while Dak needs to improve in specific areas, the best improvement for this team would be in scheme, which means new coaching. I don't think it will be sufficient to replace just the QB coaches or the OC. Linehan is really running Garrett's basic offense. Unless we get a whole new system, we are stuck in "Let everybody know what play we're going to run and see if they can stop us" mode that worked in the 90s, but doesn't work now - there's too much parity across the league.

As far as Dak's contract is concerned, if I were Jerry I would offer him $23 million per year for three years - not a penny more and not a day longer. If Dak wants bigger money, he is either going to have to go get it somewhere else or show marked improvement in three primary areas: pocket awareness, reading the defense, and fumbles. He's fun to watch, but he also can be frustrating at times. I especially like the fact that he cares about whether or not we win, which didn't seem to be the case for Romo.

All that said, Jerry probably gives him a seven year contract at $29 mill per year, with $140 mill guaranteed.

$18 for two years with built in incentive.
