When Embiid has a big game, the Sixers are far more likely to lose than otherwise...

BTW Philly fans,

Congratulations on your "revenge" against the Cavs last night...

Of course, you were also able to beat them last April when you didn't have Embiid and when Cleveland had some guy named LeBron James.

LOL.

Way to go all in on an assumption based entirely off a small sample size.

Philly is 9-5 in games where Embiid has a 30 point double double and 2-1 in games where he has a 40 point double double.

In other words, like always, you are wrong.

This is too easy.

The Sixers have a huge defensive problem with the non Big 3. Not sure what they can do to fix that.

They need to trade Fultz. While Fultz still has the potential to be great(seems less likely every day). His potential is the only thing they have to improve the supporting cast.

The problem with trading Fultz is you are going to get pennies on the dollar and are unlikely to get back anything of real value.

I can't see Elton Brand wanting his professional GM career to start off by trading Fultz off to another team where he could flourish.

I don't think a team will trade for him until they seem him play again.
I mean, if somebody wants to bowl the Sixers over with an offer, sure, but that would be poor due diligence from that team.

The Sixers are better off keeping him and waiting to see how this plays out.
If he comes back, plays, and plays well, Sixers could keep him or get more in a trade.
If he comes back and struggles, then he's a sunk cost and will have little to no trade value regardless.

It is a tough spot. They won't ever get value for his potential, but it is not a guarantee that he will ever reach it while the 76ers window is open. Either choice is a gamble. The only other piece they have is Wilson Chandler 12 million expiring, but they are going to have to take on some long term salary to get value out of it.

Bjelica backing out has been more damage than it initially seemed it would be. He would have been an ideal 4 for you guys. Taken care of some of the outside shooting concerns, and out of Embiids way on the post.

Yeah, seems like a bit of a tough spot for the Sixers and Fultz. It seems like the thing he needs most...a team where he can get a lot of playing time without the pressure of having to win...is something that the Sixers can't provide.

On the other hand, it would suck for them to trade him for virtually no return and then see him live up to his draft status someplace else.

Maybe closer to the trade deadline when some teams are looking to start over, there will be an opportunity to get something of value for him?

The Sixers don't really have an issue with outside shooting. That is a notion based on Simmons lack of shooting. They are a complete middle of the road team on 3 point shooting. Which is fine given the construction of the team.

Fultz has a major confidence issue. While his situation is more extreme than others, point guards historically take a few years to develop into NBA level point guards.

Yeah, the only trade scenario I could envision is if the Suns traded Jackson or the Hornets traded Monk for Fultz. I think that is unlikely to happen though.

Bjelly wouldn't have played with Saric in front of him.
Can't fault him for going to SAC and starting and actually helping that team win.

That being said, as flyerhawk alluded to, Sixers are 12th in 3PA and 13th in 3PM.
Muscala/Chandler/Butler take roughly the same amount of threes that Covington/Saric shot.

Great, congrats to Mr. Embiid for padding his stats against the likes of the Heat, Hornets, and Suns. Against the teams that matter, however, he's a liability when he does so.

I do know basketball. So much so that some no-name poster came to me for advice in a dm last week for betting games. Here was the quote:

You seem pretty knowledgeable on the NBA. Would u mind helping with these. Just put the letter "p" next to the teams u like from the list below. I would really appreciate it if you have a fewseconds. And no worries if u get any wrong as I am just trying to get a few opinions .

I just call things the way I see it. I may ruffle some feathers with my opinions, but the only legit reason for one not approving of me is because I don't root for their team(s), which in your case happens to be the Warriors, Sixers, and Lakers. It's the only legit reason there ever was. Same goes for Wiggy...

I just love dishing it out to Philly fans that parade themselves on here as if they've already won five titles with this nucleus, when the reality is that they have just as many titles in our lifetime as we do.

I'll take Why You Shouldn't Do Drugs for $400, Alex.....

Congrats on your 40-20 game, Mr. Embiid. Your prize? Losing at home to one of your biggest rivals...By double digits.
